I have played computer games for well over 40 years and in general like most of Destiny 2 content.
However when Season of the Worthy was added, was extremely frustrated when attempting to solo the EDZ bunker when at power 950 and not able to kill the 2 champions which lead me to the point I was ready to quit the game totally. Perservered and was able to overcome my frustrations when playing in the bunkers with a long time online friend. At power 1000 with season bonus of 16 it is much easier.
My game time is at least 5 hours most days.
The current 3 week competition against titan, warlock, and hunter classes however seems way slanted towards Titan Class... this disheartens those of us that hunter exclusively. The relative flag heights look way out of line. It would be helpful to see a percentage between the classes perhaps.
This long time computer gamer doesn't play the Player versus Player modes due to an abundance of frustration with those game modes in Destiny 2. So some of the "triumphs" that require PVP modes most likely never happen for me. Expecially the one where Xur requires playing "death" which requires playing 3 modes of pvp. Same applies to Eva Levante events that require Crucible.
Ikora Rey seems to be orphaned of late... would be nice if she gave some playable quests again.
I do like the Season of the Worthy adjustment when waiting on load screens being able to read about game content... however the load times get frustrating... Yes, this long time software developer of over 42 years knows that this game has a large base of players.
If we were to lose a planet in the game my vote would be to drop Mercury. Such a pain to play and fall to death then having to wait to respawn.
Respawn times are ridiculous... I came to play NOT to get punished for dying.
Thank you Bungie for a game with a wide appeal and some very very excellent content.

Side step the undesirable content, use the armor & weapons I choose. Love the solo game. Enjoy the forum banter. Play all 3 classes. Cheers fellow Guardians!!

Edited by Ghost_Hawk_One: 4/29/2020 10:03:37 PMWhy is it only 60+ year old people feel the need the state thier age for validation when giving feedback? Suspect.

2 RepliesLol, wants to quit over a daily bunker. Yeah, most arent supposed to solo those day one at 950 light. Most need to get to max base light, unless you are highly skilled..... Muted.

Don't give up on PvP. It can make you a better PvE player as you learn aerial manevers and other tactics. Nearly everyone has to struggle intially.

Your words, my words!!! It will be an honor to play with you. Me too, I am 63 years old, playing Destiny since day one. I just hope your Portuguese be better than my English! LOL Long time ago, gave up on PvP... never made a friend, they immediately kill me on my aproach. Be good! Edward

3 RepliesGood to hear from an old gamer. To me you’re just a youngster 😎. I’ll be 70 in October🙄. Been playing since pong came out. Need a clan with no one under 50 onPC. Hahaha. That would be an experience. Keep grinding on bunkers. Swords do wonders on the bosses 👍🏻

Remember "the fate of all fools" story

I’d suggest dumping Io. It’s a bland map with annoying af “adventures”. Mercury has so much potential and at least could be improved. I’m still hoping Bungie does it justice and makes it so whenever you load into the map, it’s either the past, present or future style, like the whole planet is in a time flux. That would be such a mind trip Agreed about Ikora. She’s a major player in the world and just gets to stand there doing... nothing. She doesn’t even have useless gear to peddle or a non-functional portal to oversee the construction of.

12 RepliesWhy dont you play pvp? Bungies Crucible is perfect for 60+ people. Small skillgap and terrible SBMM

4 RepliesEdited by blade329: 4/27/2020 8:35:08 PMAt first, the Bunker clears were rather tough. It totally get it. It wasn't until I had warmind cell builds that it became a snap. It's the Legendary Lost Sectors that piss me off. I've done two, and I don't intend to do another. Dying 10-12 times in a LS isn't my idea of fun. Super Valkyrie's are a complete joke. I couldn't take down a single powerful enemy with them, only the ads.

1 ReplyEdited by Yaman: 4/27/2020 9:44:17 PMPower only matters if your lower than the mobs, that's why starting each season we are much lower power than the mobs, otherwise it would be to clear power is just a time gate, that doesn't make our guardians stronger at all. As a PVE player as well I am skipping this event for the same reasons, I would have played if I could just have done the activities I liked.

A gamer for 40 years? Jeezus! Get some sunshine old timer.

2 RepliesFor someone who has been playing games for a long time, it sure sounds like you still haven't figured out how to play them.

16 Replies5 hours a day at that age, christ I hope I don't end up like that 😂

I agree with you on avoiding PvP, it causes me stress and gets me a bit angry at times. I wish Bungie didn’t force people to play out of their comfort zone, some things are not meant for some people. As for your Guardian Games topic, I am also a Hunter main, been one since d1, but have always had all three classes and switch daily. Bungie must have messed too much with weighing the Hunter medals and now are too afraid to talk about it, this whole event is a bit fishy for me I have since stopped grinding altogether and just do my own thing (mainly going for rank 100 on the season pass and doing odds and ends of things. You should just do what makes you happy and not worry about the craziness of the game. Happy scouting, Hunter, see you in the field :)

Edited by Kiro - 13: 4/28/2020 12:41:48 AMGood choice on avoiding pvp. At high elo in comp and 5+ win tickets for trials your chances of encountering some one that cheats jumps to at least a 1/3rd chance. For all the games flaws its still the best shooter available. Arma, Titanfall, & Borderlands all tried to step into the race but destiny 2 proved resilient. Its PvE universe is huge and easy to get lost in. Destiny 2 is a great game, just full of bugs & cheating. I must say though to Destiny 2's more aged group of players. If you have any interest in the crucible ritual weapons now is the time. You can not be de-ranked till 2100. When I sherpa raids I explain this to some players with sub-optimal weapon choices. I tell them to just play 3 games a week for 2 reasons. One to reduce the trouble/actually amount of play time because you receive a glory bonus after every weekly reset. Second, the system is SBMM if you keep playing the game will throw you in matches like 2 platinum ranked 1 bronze per side, consistently if you are doing the grind. Not only will you be pissed and see it as a hopeless match you will also earn the ire of the grinders and above avg skill set players for not doing your 3 & done for the week, thus stinking up the match with your score. I know that last part sounds elitist, but if some youngster came in on the site and started goofing every thing up you would clearly be upset about the amount of extra work you need to do now.

Even old gamers are avin a moan 😂🙏

13 RepliesAs soon as you complained about not being able to clear the bunker you lost all validity of your post

Hunters with correct set up can get powered ability kills nonstop as easily as a Titan. Center arc class with shinobus vow extra grenade. Use the mod for arc grenades and max out mobility. You have unlimited slide uppercut power punch and almost unlimited grenades. as long as you use dodge to power up melee. laurels will drop like rain all over you. and dont forget to use your super every time it becomes available, do not hold on to it. Tons of laurels.

I do PvP but not much competitive unless I rucksack with a son. Daily player 57

I felt your pain in the seraph bunker. I ended up taking a movie break when I hit the brick wall in the fight against the final boss. I then came back and was finally able to get a clear. I had to micro manage my armor mods and use the elite frame. Good luck.

2 RepliesI too found bunker heroic mission impossible until I'd passed 1000 light, but running a sword with disruption mod helps no end for the mini bosses, and don't forget to damage match against shield types if not already doing so! As for loading screens, you can access inventory and quest menus, during this time I usually tidy up my gear, check on bounty progress and claim triumphs, helps me with the pain of lost button bashing time at least! With a mere 35 years gaming behind me I think I'm only classified as a retro gamer... (if you count ping tennis, released when I was about 5 as gaming)
