How does a bug like Watercress/Newt show up for some and not others?
I’ve been battling this Newt/Watercress error for roughly a week now. I’m an Admin in a clan of 90 and play with people frequently. It’s hard to explain to my clan why I’m the only one to get it 🤷♂️ They all think I’m lying lol. Just curious as why some bugs affect some people and not others? I assume it would eventually happen to everyone?

12 RepliesHi there, Thanks for reaching out. We are actively investigating this issue. We know that only a small number of players on the Xbox console are experiencing the issue and that it's a result of having too many "player sessions" opened. This basically means that when you quit Destiny 2 your session for that time played should go away, but this doesn't happen for a small number of players on Xbox. This is one of our top issues that we are actively investigating. In the meantime, we are taking player's information, like yours, and collecting them in an attempt to resolve them ourselves until a more permanent fix can be implemented.

2 RepliesYou know, I think that's one reason the fix is hard to find/implement; the fact that the percentage of people affacted is pretty small makes it harder to pinpoint the exact origin of the bug, and therefore work out a fix for it. I do wonder; how many Xbox players are affected? I'd say much, much less than the 5% of the total, but I might be wrong here, I don't know...

3 RepliesEven though it’s a small player base, I wonder if there’s one trait that we all have in common. The only thing I’ve been using is DIM, don’t know if there’s a correlation.

Edited by JaDiMa: 4/21/2020 4:34:29 PMi am a fairly erratic player. i'm always moving and spinning and jumping. if anything, i think the watercress was handed out to players that grief the AI, with expertise lol. i am mostly just a solo player, and i have only 1 account, and i only play D2. i do nothing special other than be a super bad ass (for what was around 4 hours a day). maybe bungie handed out the watercress with the idea, "these players need to chill." lol.

I haven't bothered to attempt playing with anyone because if i manage to get past the Watercress, Newt shows up. Welcome to the club
