Wouldn't that be awesome and fun if Bungie brought back VOG raid and associated raid weapons?

Thanks for all the positive comments 🤗

4 RepliesSo we can learn the babies first raid of arbitrary mechanics that started it all? No thanks. The design philosophy behind the VOG is directly responsible for current raids with arbitrary horseshit defining success. It's boring. Players clearly don't like it. If it was "hard" people would stick around to play it (they do not). Gamers like challenges, not "OOOPS GAHAHAHAHA YODU DDIDNY DOEEES THE STEPS LIKE WE INTENDED YOU TO DOOOO. GAME RESTERT. FUNNNNNN" Raids are shitty FPS Simon says. They break the immersion into the world by existing as pure nonsense.

Yeah I'm with everyone so far leave vog where it is as it's still best raid IMO. However what about a VOG 2.0 Where atheon has repaired time stream and rebuilt the vault elsewhere, still have templar, oracle's, atheon, gorgon, jumping puzzle but completely different mechanics and layout. Just an off the cuff idea
-
3 RepliesNo they need to stop bringing stuff back. They need to focus on making new content.
-
No we dont need another reskin from D1! We need a new raid that will match VOG's quality, mystery, loot and excitement. If thats too much asking , there should not be a new DLC coming on September, let alone D3...
-
No it would only hinder our memory of it. Bungie already has a problem with recycling old content. Vault of glass is so memorable because of year 1. The armor was the only way to get to level 30. The weapons were clearly the best in the game at the time. And it was an actual challenge. It would be way too easy in d2. Leave it in d1 and let Bungie make new content.
-
No keep it in d1
-
No thanks, I'll leave my fond memories of this game back in the past where they belong. They should rename this game Groundhog Day with the amount of repetition that goes on in it.

1 ReplyEvery time Bungie brings something from D1 into D2, they almost always botch it hard. The last thing I want them ruining are the masterpieces that are the D1 Raids.
-
1 ReplyDon’t let them bring back VoG VoG is an amazing raid that set the bar on the quality we should expect from Destiny. Do you really want bungie to break everything in there and make it an unplayable mess? Do you want all the weapons to be complete shells of themselves after bungie finish nerfing them? Do you want any exotics i you out get from there be that underwhelming or that bugged you never use them? No, leave VoG where it is. Leave everything from D1 where it is, away from bungie and they inept ability to break and ruin everything they get their hands on
-
No. Exotics are already reaching at the fact that I bought D1 again, raids would be TOO far. I’d rather see new and unique raids as well
-
Nope we need new raids no need for old one plus vog was bugged
-
no. destiny 1 and 2 are completely different games. stop asking for d1 content.
-
No. New raid, please. Stop regurgitating old content from an old game.
-
1 ReplyBring back new raids, seriously everyone should be sick of the amount of reused content at this point

1 ReplyEdited by Kouz_MC: 4/17/2020 8:25:38 PMWell, you can play D1. It’s still great. Reworked raids, the challenges, gear and exotic primaries were (and are still) amazing. I doubt bungie would go through the cost and effort without leaving every nice loot behind eververse, so it would only end up frustrating vets and disappoint newcomers. It would end up as a big cost, with no real upside. And the VoG without the Gally wouldn’t feel the same.
-
Or just play D1.
-
Easy fixes just go play D1.
-
1 ReplyAlbeit an outstanding raid, people need to stop requesting old stuff. Why do you think Trials is such a mess??
-
1 ReplyNo thanks, I can tolerate old exotics and somewhat old locations like the moon but I draw the line when it gets to the raids. Porting over a whole raid would force bungie to sacrifice what little they already have to make just a few of you happy. Ive already beaten vault of glass so many times I can probably do it with my eyes closed, it was a fun raid back then but I have no intentions of doing it again. Kings fall being my favorite raid of all time I have to also say no, D1 raids can stay where they are. I want to try new raids that are actually worth playing for, so far the raids we have now Dont really have loot that I want to grind for, even the exotics are nothing compared to D1 exotics like touch of malice or vex mythoclast. Terrabah is terrible. The thousand voices is cool but its also meh, I personally enjoy doing raids for primary or secondary exotics. I barely use heavy as it is so I don’t really care too much for them
-
3 Replies*whispers* it was never that good anyway... Actually my least favourite D1 raid. Wotm had the best balance of mechanics to action. Kings fall was (and probably still is) the only raid that felt like a full on adventure tied to the main story line of the game. Crota was fun (and I soloed it so have fond memories) VoG: stand on plates killing adds. Go into cave and kill adds. Avoid harpies in deeper cave. Jump around a bit. Fight boss by killing adds 😴
-
7 RepliesVault of glass is the most OVERRATED raid in Destiny history. Kingsfall, Wrath of the machine, and Last wish are the best raids ever released. That’s just my opinion.
-
Only if they allow the cheese.
-
1 ReplyWhy VoG? Kind of a boring raid. 90% of the time you’re just killing ads.
-
Bungie doesn't want to bring in everything the community enjoyed from d1 for whatever reason Strike scoring - no Featured raid - no Raid/trials weapons that are unique and powerful - no Raid ornaments - only in y1 Meaningful rewards for activities - no The fact that we don't have these things are why the game is dying - just look at the trials population. Nobody wants to go in because a) not compensated for time and b) none of the rewards besides astral are good
