I would be posting this on the destinythegame reddit but those kind of posts a forbidden there for whatever reason.
I'v met more hackers and cheaters in the past 14 days then in the last 2 years. Not a single day passes by where I didn't met an Player who obviously uses autoaim software and/or wallhacks since the beginning of the season. The instant respawn/teleport hack is also still out there and widely used.
This is especially frustrating in Trials.
I also wish for a little more transparency concering AntiCheat. How many reports are getting reviewed daily? How many bans are getting put into effect and how often?
Seeing a couple of numbers would give us some kind of statisfaction and prove that you are actually doing something about them.
I love this game and I would hate it if the Crucible gets inflated with hacker and cheater.
Sincerely,
a huge fan of your game

Bungie wont even get dedicated servers for the pvp after all of these years so i wouldn't hold my breathe on a proper anti cheat coming any time soon.

-
What anti cheat system
-
it already is inflated and they wont do a thing about it since they already made their money off the playerbase, game is dead sadly

10/10 agree. They need to hook-up anti-cheat and start with the insta-perma-bans. I'm over this shit. I can't be going for my 7th win and then play against Aim bots with self revive. Don't believe me? I'll link my tweet to DMG with the vid. It's unbelievable. The past 2 weeks we were getting duked on and this week we popped off just to be crushed by cheaters. So defeating. https://twitter.com/Billybreunig/status/1244494542126153729?s=19

We could reduce our large staff in the Eververse team and put more staff on anti cheat team (currently one person)...joke hahahah

1 ReplyCheaters mostly don't cheat to win, but cheat to destroy the fun of others. They use fake accounts, since they don't care these will be banned. And they create new accounts faster than Bungie can ban them. Client side cheats like instant super, instant respawn, snipers shooting like miniguns, etc, can only be solved by using dedicated servers. Another solution to reduce the amount of this kind of cheaters is to make trials much less accessible: 1. Don't offer trials for free, but tie it to the season pass. 2. Before someone can enter trials let them do a one time quest. Doesn't need to be a hard and long one, as long as it is good enough to prevent people creating new accounts and immediately enter trials all the time.

https://www.eurogamer.pt/articles/2020-03-31-destiny-2-cheaters-estao-a-arruinar-trials-of-osiris-no-pc Sorry for the external link.. but everyone noticed the obvious.. Is that anti cheat ever comming? This is already to much.

They don't have one. I'm throughly convinced most of the so called bans are carried out based on alot of reports and how many it takes we may never know. They need to step up period nothing but screw ups lately.
-
If they had didicated servers it would be easier for them to crack down on hackers. Those 2 things are related. So don't expect much until Bungie makes a destiny game with dedicated servers.
-
2 RepliesI personally think game modes like Trials and Comp should not be Free to Play. Put the pinnacle activities behind a paywall.
-
Now that Trials are gone, all the hackers are playing in regular crucible. You just have to take a look on their low level or private account, or even the comments on their comment. Previous vac bans. When you look at their account on destinytracker and see that they never lost a game in 30 matches in trials. An unrealistic precise kills are a give away too. Thinking of setting up a youtube channel open to everyone to upload video of the cheaters.

1 ReplyEdited by Thorium: 3/30/2020 8:56:49 PM"We're always working on improving our anti-cheat defenses" Cozmo and dmg can't replace Jones. Jones had a good partner during The Taken King; along with great programmers/devs, and far less players that Shared servers could handle. That was arguably the greatest gaming pinnacle ever - TTK. Jones parted with his partner, made a deal with Activision and other vendors to bring Bungie to a leading name in gaming houses, to finally divest himself of Activision et al, freeing himself of paying expenses to finally go free-to-play and bring in millions more players. Eververse alone has made him filthy rich. Do you really think he's going to outlay massive capital in Dedicated server services around the world - AND hire pro anti-cheat employees, not to mention TTK level programmers/devs that that level of anti-cheat coding overlaps? He would've done that with the Chinese investor, which is money-only - not a controlling interest, if he had plans for upgrading infrastructure (and his board of directors is for show, and have very little say in the direction of the company). You're better off starting a petition for selling to Google or another superior infrastructure, that could easily afford the best devs/programmers, and outright OWN their own superior servers/infrastructure.

Trails brings out the cheaters in the game....no shit.

16 RepliesEdited by InTheZone: 3/31/2020 4:48:03 AMshould be a felony in every country to cheat in video games. 1 month served first time caught, 1 year the next. Do it again get 10 years or lose a hand.

5 RepliesIf the cheaters found a way to steal from Eververse, you bet they would get permabanned.
-
146 RepliesWe're always working on improving our anti-cheat defenses. It's no surprise that bringing back Trials of Osiris, an activity that winning matches if very important has resulted in a spike of cheating reports. We're working behind the scenes on additional ways to prevent cheating, but if you do come across any cheaters, please report them in-game as well as on bungie.net with our Suspected Cheater Report Form

I stopped playing on PC months ago to go back to PS4, these fuqing cheaters.
-
Your Hunter looks cool

3 RepliesCan I ask an honest question? I’ve played a decent bit of PvP on PC. A little bit of comp for triumphs and stuff, decent bit of General Crucible and Iron Banner. I have never seen a cheater. Why do people talk like there are 6 of them in every lobby?
-
1 ReplyLitterraly played 3 games of trials 3rd game played against someone with aimbot and wall hacks...
-
3 RepliesThat's too bad. Do you report these offenders? That's how Bungie can find them faster. Not many cheaters in console.
-
The game is trash. Bungie is letting all the hacker run riot. If they ban them then there will be like, 17 players. As long as they are spending money in Eververse Bungie doesn’t give a -blam!-.
