2 RepliesIf you have a sword, time it right to block it. Works wonders.

6 RepliesIt just needs to be toned down. Getting sent to Tangled Shore from IO is a little over the top.

I quite like it. It's a great way to get around. Fancy popping to the shops but don't have the energy? No worries, just get a much needed boost from your favourite boss. 👍
-
It shouldn't hit above the knees/waist for starters; they are no way strong enough to create deadly vaccuums that launch people high obove the impact. Other than that, I just want bosses to have more diverse melee options. Stomping is just lazy, and absolutely overused, when 99% of bosses are too fat to move around much less bend over. Have them pin/trap people, have them leave DoT spots around them for getting too close (Ex: Bracus Zahn), etc. Just something new.
-
What makes me laugh is in the arms dealer striker even the -blam!-ing tanks have a stomp mechanic, it's just such lazy game design giving every single high level mob a stomp mechanic that will get you if you are standing close to it or 30ft in the air you still being sent flying across the map.
-
There's a Boss Stomp finisher lol
-
2 RepliesThe stomp is fine. The distance and force it throws you needs to be cut by at least half.
-
Edited by NicoNekomancer: 3/28/2020 6:07:52 AMNot to mention how boss stomp works in the air as well. It can instakill dawnblade and -blam!-s over any warlock in the air.

9 RepliesSniper w/ box breathing, voral weapon, firing line= problem solved. Snipers are still a great option.
-
They should add a boss in the tower to stomp unsuspecting guardians.
-
The booping is out of control in this game. I don't mind the damage, even the insta kills. But the booping is absolutely out of control and needs to not be a thing anymore.
-
2 RepliesStomp needs some nerfing same goes for teleport.
-
It is ridiculous. feedback they've had since year 1 D2. still nothing.
-
it happens in pvp too just complain how it ruins pvp and they will nerf it
-
Would be to nice but won't happen cause of the lack of creativity to find other solutions to keep us away from cheesing bosses.
-
Never gonna happen especially with 4th horseman in the game.
-
I think it’s fine in moderation but the fact that they rely on having like a quarter of the enemies we fight, and pretty much every boss, have this mechanic is just uninteresting. Close-range weapons aren’t even good. They don’t need a mechanic to stop you from using them because no matter what, if all specials do about the same DPS (or less; like swords and most shotguns), like they do right now, no one will pick the riskier option. We saw this with scout rifles in D1, Fatebringer really being the only meaningful, non-exotic, exception. Make close range weapons do a lot of damage, have encounters where risk is required or encouraged, and then people will use them; it doesn’t take a genius to see this, Bungie...

1 ReplySeriously?? you must be hard to please, or not very good at PVE lol

1 ReplyEdited by Artisan: 3/27/2020 4:18:58 PMI'd be happy for it to remain with a few qualifications: Rebuff snipers or partially buff them (10 % over former 20%) Reduce the damage on rebounding on walls. It makes the double damage an instant kill with no defence or player action possible. Increase SOME level of player agency. So after they yoik you half way across the map you can increasingly control the momentum ie it degrades much more.
-
Sword+passive defense=no stomp
-
yeah they are leftovers from the era where we were unkillable by normal means
-
It wouldn't be so bad if it was just the boss. That would make sense. However, every other alien in this freaking game can stomp you. Taken phalanxes, Cabal phalanxes, psions, ogres, captains, etc. It's just too much getting slammed over and over in this game. It's a cheap ass mechanic that is over used. The Gambit bosses are the worst. Even if I'm in the air, they can still slam me.
-
Yup it's honestly the reason more people use snipers on bosses over shotguns even if they now do less damage they are still always more effective cause they prevent you from dying
-
It ruins everything
Just give rifts and barricades an anchor mechanic, that would actually make them more useful.

I recently swapped back to a SG after using my trophy hunter last season...I forgot how bad the stomp mechanics are. I’m half tempted to go back to sniping because it’s so annoying, even though the seraph shotgun I have does 50% more damage a hit.
