Maybe it’s just me, but I never see these things used in crucible often, nor PvE content. Malfeasance has its buff in Gambit, but it’s too specific. Idk, maybe all these weapons need is their masterworks given out, but if not I hope they get a buff that makes the utility more user friendly. Simple things I feel these weapons need are as follows:
Tarrabah keeps its charge while stowed but is lost through death (or over time while stowed if that’s to overpowered). It seems the biggest turn off is that Tarrabah has to be the only thing you use when you have it equipped. Maybe that small change would make a difference?
Trinity Ghoul could overall just use a shorter draw time. It’s almost wish ender level and it only does 153 if you hit all three arrows in the head. It seems like it’s high risk/low reward until you finally land a kill. I’d be fine if it was the same as monarch, so you can make the choice between arc web bow or thorn bow.
Malfeasance? One shot less is my idea. Every gun except 180 HCs and Scouts can kill under 1 second. I think if they are going to stay like that, malfeasance should always explode if you land 4 shots. That might be too huge of a buff but it seems that you’re already going to be sniped, rushed by a shotgun, sprayed by an auto, burned by a hand cannon, and more. What could one shot less do compared to all the weapons we deal with now?
If you’re at this point, thanks for taking time to read my super tired inspired brain attempt to make these weapons just good enough to be present, but not so much it’s all you see. I want these weapons to be like crimson instead of last word: Good enough. Hopefully this might get some traction but if it doesn’t, oh well.

With only 4 stacks I don't think it would be as good as the five stacks and would drop its range a lot.

2 RepliesEdited by ImOuttaGum: 3/19/2020 5:17:18 PMfirstly both tarrabah and malf are fine as they are! malf can destroy supers a lot of players have forgotten that, the way its designed means you can kill across the map with it all be it with a lower ttk then what's shooting back probably. tarrahbah is very strong in the right hands, as it should be, balanced in a such a way that when used correctly (like malf) it can destroy whole teams in 6v6. Trinity ghoul could do with a rub in the right direction, but I think its a pve bow really. try watching fr0sty for tarrabah pvp play.

I would absolutely love for the Malfeasance to get buffed. I know it's supposed to be used in gambit, but it still.

1 ReplyMalfeasance is the most beautiful hand cannon in the game especially with the ornaments. You are right it should be buffed and made to be useable at least in pve! What's wrong with 2 head shots and a body for a kill in pvp? With the rate of speed players rush with shot gun's, or sniper insta kills and the buff to auto's why can't there be a hand cannon to compete with the other weapons. The problem with Bungie is that they are control freaks and always trying to create balance in an impossible scenario. Instead of making all weapons equal and force players to use tactics and skill to win gun fights they think they know a better way which has proven itself to be nothing but a rotating nerf fest. For now I look at it in the vault and dream of a day when it is back in my inventory as a viable option.

Trinity Ghoul's Lightning Rod perk should proc on ALL kills and not just precision kills. Or it should get a catalyst that gives it Archer's Tempo, and maybe a Archer's Tempo duration buff would be nice. Either way it'll be so nice to use when you can more reliably get the perk off or get arrows off in quicker succession. Malfeasance I like for PvE already, especially against Taken. Not sure how to go about buffing it in PvP. It's kind of nice. You can map people with it if you get enough shots to blow em up. Lol. Kind of a niche weapon. I think 180s in general could use some love but I dunno.

1 ReplyEdited by Gnar Dogg: 3/20/2020 12:05:35 AMMalfeasance is straight nasty in Gambit honestly. As long as you get to the prime evil that thing literally destroys all the taken. I've played matches with it a lot and had the most damage dealt to prime evil strictly using malfeasance and it can kill the envoys in 4-5 shots no problem. One of my best games I was on my warlock using getaway artist + arc soul + malfeasance and got over 90 kills. I'm sure people have bested that but I was super proud of how well I did in that match lol. Not to mention the fact you have a buff against enemy invaders as well. It's the Gambit exotic weapon so it's meant to be used in Gambit. It's not meant to be great in regular pvp or pve.

2 RepliesI don't know if Malfeasance really needs a buff (maybe a Catalyst though) , but Trinity Ghoul and Tarrabah need some significant buffs. Trinity Ghoul itself could benefit from a rework. One that gives it a similar function to Symmetry. Dual firing modes (single and 3 arrow mods) with the Split Electrons perk, and a stacking effect that increases the chaining and damage of Lightning Rod. The Split Electrons perk should allow you to swap between the single arrow with standard Precision Frame draw time (684) and damage, and the 3 arrows with a slower draw time and damage (somewhere between Trinity Ghoul's current draw time/damage, and Wish-Ender's). Lightning Rod would only be active when in the 3 arrow mode, and the stacking effect (up to 3x; 15% increase with each stack) for Lightning rod would only be proc'd from precision kills with the single arrow mode. Basically, like Symmatry, but requires kills instead of heasdshots.

Buff the archetypes. Bows in the energy slot or intrinsic handling and initial accuracy buff.

2 RepliesI basically main my dear sweet Malfeasance and I gotta say, it's fine how it is. If anything, it could use a range buff
-
1 ReplyNO HANDCANNON BUFFS! Period.
-
Malf is perfectly fine the way it is
-
7 RepliesEdited by RussellMania: 3/19/2020 4:55:47 AMMalfeasance buff wouldn’t really be practical. It requires 2 crits 2 body for a kill. The only way for a buff to the exotic perk to be meaningful in PvP is to allow the slugs to proc on 4 bodyshots, which would be much too forgiving, or allow them to proc after 3 headshots or something like that, which would put us right back in another Luna/NF catastrophe.

1 ReplyBows just suck overall. Trinity Ghoul feels like someone took the worst aspects of a bow and made it into a shotgun, then said oh, we should add the Thunderlord perk to this since we've already done it once in this game. Then they made Thunderlord again so now it's in there on three weapons on just this one game that basically have the same perk with small changes to make it feel different.
-
They wont buff them. Its just easier to nerf everything else till they are good.
-
3 RepliesTrinity Ghoul has a good idea behind it but three weak arrows? If they do anything to this bow they should increase the damage the longer you hold it.
-
1 ReplyI'd love a malfeasance/ghoul buff or catalysts.
-
2 RepliesMalf needs the catalyst it’s been too long now. I doubt we will ever see it TBH. There must be a reason it’s not been added yet. My favourite HC in the game because it’s fun to use and with that Taken ornament looks awesome.
-
1 ReplyI’d love a 4 shot malfeasance but imagine facing a team of them 😂 The nerf posts would flood these forums in less than a week.
-
1 ReplyMalfeasance is amazing! I just wish it was 4 shots to the explosion (I know that would be op but I can dream). It can work in pvp but it's not competitive against thorn/spare etc. Also I dont know if it's just me but I sometimes feel hit detection is alittle of or sluggish.
-
4 RepliesMalfeasance doesn't need a buff..
-
5 RepliesMalfred is already A, if not S in specific applications. No buff needed imho. Don’t have Terrible so 🤷🏼♂️ and trinity ghoul is def F but ~C/D in specifics
-
2 RepliesWhy with the constant pvp inspired changessssss

2 RepliesThey are buffing weapons like crazy on Borderlands 3 good luck with it here someone might get their feelings hurt in Trials
