This game was made to be grinded, but they forgot to make stuff actually fun to use the stuff you grinded for.

Its totally insulting to ask the community for feedback and ideas . . . then not implement any. Bungie is correct in their idea of needing to focus on improving the desire to play all core elements and not just the new flavor of the season. All elements of the game NEED desirable loot. Create. Strike. Specific. Loot. Already. Also, lost sectors were a very cool idea introduced in D2. IMO they also need their own unique loot pool. How cool would it be to get more enemy themed gear based on the enemy race of the lost sector? Remember the taken shotty from Archon Priest strike in D1? It was desirable simply for being a taken themed weapon. Do more of that. Imagine armor like (not copy/paste) the Desolate sets from D1 as unique loot for lost sectors. I personally would be more than willing to grind 5 different fallen lost sectors for a set of unique fallen armor. You will give yourself a concussion beating your head against the wall trying to make sense of why they gave strike loot to nightfalls destroying the incentive to grind strikes, why the D1 faction system wasnt a simple copy/paste into D2, why vendor refreshes have been so few and far between. *heavy sigh*

13 RepliesEdited by Jet2Holiday: 3/16/2020 4:56:00 PMBounties is not the problem. Not letting people play the way they want is the problem. For me is just something extra while doing everything else. What irritates me is when I am forced to use guns I don't like to complete specific tasks.

Not a great approach to pitch the idea of sunsetting weapons, require hours of grind, and then not have fun loot incentives. Bungie needs to take a measuring stick, draw a chalk line at Destiny’s peak player count, and ask themselves if the never ending sandbox changes since then were worth it.
-
More like a Dismantling Simulator. After playing 7 Survival matches yesterday, I was "rewarded" with 20+ blue items to dismantle.........one at a time. Some damn fools at Bungie considers that a reward. I consider it waste of my freaking time.

1 ReplyWhy bother for this gear. Grind for gear. Spend materials (you grind for) to level it up. Gear becomes obsolete in a few weeks. Wash rinse repeat. What's the end game? FO Bungie, I'm finding another one to play. What I did in D1. Ended up at ESO for 2 years. Wish I'd never come back now. FFS! Crucible's broke. PVE sux ass.

I log in long enough to run 3 characters through for cores in hopes that one day it will be worth playing again. At least I'll have materials I'm thinking. I dunno but I'm sure over what the current content has to offer.

Why are we complaining now? Luke said that this is going to be the future last year.

As mentioned below. It’s a Dismantling Simulator coupled with mass infusion on your old gear. I haven’t come across anything in this Season that’s worth putting into a characters inventory. I’m 35 in the pass and won’t bother claiming the gun. (Tommy’s Matchbook) Let it level up. I’m not missing out on anything fun by letting it percolate in the pass.

11 RepliesEdited by Blind-N-1I: 3/15/2020 3:55:22 PMHas anyone other than me considered that Bungie might actually be doing everything possible to drive players away? I can’t come up with another explanation. I honestly believe that there’s good possibility that they’re HOPING to reduce the player base so they can go ahead and pull the plug on D2 sooner than later without pissing off too many players. It’s the only explanation I can come up with as to why they would blatantly keep reducing the game by pretty much only focusing on bounty grinds from one season to the next. And as I mentioned in another thread, it’s obvious that their only concern during the D2 demise is scraping as much money from OCD types that are still around and still purchasing $10 season passes and buying shit from Eververse. I’m serious. What other logical reason could Bungie possibly have for obsessively doing the exact opposite of what the large majority of players have been wanting? I also think that there’s a strong possibility that Bungie may be fostering a culture of bad ethics within their studio by taking advantage off people that “hate change” and have OCD. Full disclosure: I do not exclude myself from the OCD crowd. Fortunately I have been able to avoid D2 something like 9 out of the last 10 days. Jumped on a couple of days ago to see what the new PvP meta was like. Caught cancer and haven’t been back since then.

they should rename Destiny2 to Destiny76

5 RepliesHonestly never been so bored after a few days of new season content, it's even worse than Curse of Osiris.

Bungie is just gonna ignore this just like all the other criticisms the game gets with the excuse of “just wait and it will be better”. I agree with your comment though sir

I'm having fun with the Seraph Auto rifle.....

You can call most of their seasons, "Swing and a miss". My seasonal ritual. Comp: get to legend in freelance. Play a little bit of quick play. Find a season of TV to watch until next season.

2 RepliesThis is why I've just been playing Division 2. But even the new content in that game isn't really all that worthwhile. I think I'm just done with looter shooters until one of these companies manages to pull their head out of their ass.

bungie has put us into a bounty farming simulator. they are harvesting our sweat.
-
They took the worst part from mmo's and made it the main game...boring, repetitive and stupid menial quests aka bounties.

19 RepliesI can’t agree with this. Other FPS don’t have this type of playability. Other shooter games you just jump into a lobby and kill and level up. I just don’t see a problem with the bounties. They make you grind, get kills with weapons you don’t normally use, and make you do activities you wouldn’t wanna do.

Really wish you guys didnt get the challenge system reverted back to tbe bounty system. So much wasted time flying into the tower.
-
Soooooo much to do....but absolutely no point in doing it 😬

I barely play anymore. Less and less. Oh well, I miss playing, but I don't miss playing this right now. I prefer to get paid for going to work...
