It just gets in the way of my hoarding. Game is like Uber. Side huddle. The game is secondary to bounties, to the access to loot and even to the story itself.
Destiny has lost itself. Shame but it was nice while it lasted.
Last one in, turn out the light.

4 RepliesI have only one question.
why would the last one in turn out the light?
The game has turned into dress up for adults 😂.

It speaks volumes. https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/g5xkgw/why-destiny-2-isnt-working-and-how-to-fix-it

1 ReplyIt could be so much more.... I wanna believe that D3 will fix everything but that probably won’t happen. All that I’m looking forward to are the exotics this season, though they will probably be underwhelming.
-
Zavala- Damn it, the almighty is heading towards us. Where the hell are all my guardians??? Ikora- Well last I heard they're sweeping, dusting, and doing the dishes in Rasputin's man cave

11 RepliesSame. Once they announced they were retiring gear I kind of lost my drive to play. It felt like it would be a waste of time. Trials? I’ve never been good enough and I don’t look for carries. Considering carries are what I’ll be going up against (more than likely) they might as well put the gear in Eververse if others are already paying for it to someone else. In D1 I used to throw my hat in the ring because bounties would grant gear from trials. Now you can’t even do that. Raids? I usually try to make at least one run through a raid. In my opinion raids are just not an enjoyable experience. Between the toxicity and the elitism it’s not exactly something to look forward to. Back in D1 when I had a solid group of friends actively playing it made it easier to enjoy. They’re gone now. The other thing is their too mechanic heavy. We kit out, level up, grind special gear and spec our abilities so we can ......stand on a plate? Grab a ball and run clockwise around a race track jumping through hoops like dog at a circus while your teammates shoot an arrow so you can slam dunk it? As a guardian I can’t imagine regaling my tale of heroism to others. Raids should feel like epic battles. The place where the power fantasy was designed for. Where synergy between abilities of different classes come in to play. Where all the effort for your hard earned gear pays off so you have the tools for the job. Instead they’ve opted for gear and ability nerfing and an asinine insistence to limit multiple exotics from being equipped. Personally I’ve yet to play a game with this ridiculous restriction and I’ve been playing games since Pong came out. In raids you put that silly revive token thing in. Made clutch moments less possible and forced wipes more common. Made the teaching environment less desirable for sherpas. Design decisions that end up punishing the player because we use the appropriate tools for the job. Designed the reckoning around the well, bubble and tether then nerf them because we were using them. Felt we were using our supers too much? TOO MUCH? That’s the synergy! Nerfing buffs from stacking? Builds were designed for that because of the bullet sponges you have designed. There aren’t any boss mechanics other than “shoot them”. I don’t consider standing on plates boss mechanics. Nor do the abstract, nonsensical mechanics count. Put some weak points on the boss that we systematically destroy. Make the boss change up his tactics. Have certain weapons be ideal for these various parts to switch it up. Instead you made stagnant enemies. We got close and shottied them because, well, they were just a health pool to try and melt as fast as possible. You didn’t like that so you nerfed shotgunand added a ridiculous stomp mechanic. Forced us into a range game. We got out our snipers and other long range gear like slow reloading rocket launchers and used our rally barricades and rifts and this bothered you. You didn’t want us to stand in one spot shooting. YET THATS HOW YOU DESIGN ALL ENCOUNTERS! We stand in one place and shoot regardless on some DPS phase. So now those are nerfed. Personally I feel the Dungeons would be a better use of your resources. They’re just the right size, don’t require six people (and all the baggage that comes with that) and fun. Yet there’s only two. You said you weren’t bringing back factions because no one was using their gear. WHAT??!! You never updated them with random rolls and mod slots!!! Why would we use them? It would definitely be not as useful to us.update them then revisit your opinion then. Make factions like they were in D1. Sundial had matchmaking. Menagerie had matchmaking. Forges had matchmaking. Then you make events that are big requiring larger numbers of participants like Escalation Protocol and the Seraph Bunkers and we have to stand around and hope others will show up? I don’t know how many times I started Escaltion or joined in on one then for some reason everyone left after the first wave. This becomes a waste of time and a waste of an event. As much as I hate to admit it I started playing The Division 2 and really been enjoying myself. If I’m being honest with myself I doubt I’ll sink as much time into it as I have Destiny but I can already see some better design decisions there. I always loved playing Destiny. It’s been probably my most played game of all time. It’s beautiful, with great gunplay, music and worlds. I love the aesthetic and feel. But I think I rode this horse as much as I could and am reduced to taking her out for a walk once in a while.

It's all bounty driven.
-
Yup been using the same guns for two years because every exotic is tied to a long unnecessary pve quest
-
*last one out, not in. If last one in turned the light out we'd all be stood in the dark.

You that destiny is a game that require some hour to get what you want, you can't simply ask for a game that give everything in a day, it will be boring. I am actually mad in crucible for hardlight, but not much as other broken weapon (in fact i don't want hardlight to nerfed) like: Not forgotten piss me off, the f monkey with shotguns in their hands, f arkstrider that can one shot every super with a 1 HIT like blade barrage. I don't like pvp in general games, but in destiny is obligatory for power gears and it's a agony for me to play

I think the Destiny franchise has hit the bucket, making D2 free to play has lost it's appeal, each season from 8 to now is the same. The hole game is boring, PvP boring, even PvE activities are boring, I just played comp a little while ago and I felt bored, I know one thing it doesn't matter what dlc bungie adds or takes away any content, the game will always be the same now and in the future.

Edited by Discovery: 3/15/2020 1:47:03 PMMy expectations for this Season was at an all time low - I had weak hopes that Bungie would start trying to correct all mistakes they've done, but instead it got even worse than I ever thought. It is just a copy of last season. Then we had obelisks, now we have bunkers - the gameplay is the same, the chore and bounties are endless and not adding anything to the game but boredom and annoyance. But, apparently Bungie thought there was not enough of annoyances, so they added bunker buster as an extra annoyance. Just another timesink. The lack of imagination and creativity is obvious. In the world of game-making, there is a lot of "do's" and "don'ts" (as in every occupation). Most studios try to do the "do's" and avoid the "don'ts". Bungie just happily skips the "do's" and try the hardest to do the "don'ts" - which, I must say, they are very successful at. I was very bored with the last season in the end - I just play a few hours at most per week, to wind down after work. For about two weeks in the end of the last season, I did not play at all. But I started again with this new season. It feels exactly like where I left off. Everything is the same, just renamed and re-skinned. No added story worth mentioning, nothing new. Just more timesinks, more bounties that demand certain weapons destroying much of PVP. I think I will not put much time into this season. Either Bungie is in the early concept stage on Destiny 3, or, much more likely, they are letting this franchise slowly crumple until it is no more.

31 RepliesFree for a reason. I still get sad thinking back to when I first saw the live action commercial on tv and being hype. Now it's bounties, xp, mods. Rinse & repeat every 3 months with some different background. There's zero substance.

2 Repliesy’all don’t know my struggle, y’all can’t match my huddle, you can’t catch my huddle, you can’t fathom my love, dude

destiny 2 NEVER lasted. complete and utter -blam!- shit since launch. finally was pushed to uninstall. asking bungie for a refund
-
2 RepliesIt’s definitely become a pointless time waster of a game, feels very much closer to a proper free to play game these days. Lots of time wasting with very little substance.
-
Its been like that even paired up with Activision. Put little ammount of effort into the game make a huge profit. Now they doubled down its vastly apparent now they are only in it for the money with even less effort. If you took away trials from this season what else does it offer and would it stand alone?
-
They should rename the game to how the community feels #Deadtome
-
Waste bungie

2 RepliesEdited by TripleF73: 3/14/2020 9:47:17 PMSadly I no longer care, either. Bungie don’t listen, they have yet to beat the high point of the story of TTK and the subsequent quests on the road to King’s Fall imho. Forsaken was close but just too much empty space never utilised and Last Wish was ruined by not having the raid structure of D1 raids and the over convoluted mechanics of the Riven fight. I’m just hoping D3 will be the improvement in the franchise we all want. Highly unlikely given Bungie’s current level of competency. ☹️

It's very hard to care about a season that rewards you with nothing.

Ur 950. U haven't cared for 3 seasons. Go back to fortnite

3 RepliesEdited by Rogueseiferv2: 3/15/2020 4:19:35 AMIf it helps, bungie don’t care about the game either

4 RepliesIf I may make a suggestion: Play the first Destiny. Much better loot grind.

Very sad state

Yep... they have lost their own vision... now it’s all about coming up with ways to milk us for time. The majority of their quality employees must be working on something else. Also, get rid of Luke Smith.
