Bungie,
Since the introduction of champion mods in Season of the Undying there has been negative feedback DAILY regarding the restriction of these mods to a small, limited selection of weapons, yet there has been absolutely no acknowledgement of this feedback nor any hint that anything is being discussed or worked on to improve the issue. Every season and every artifact we have been trying to tell you that this issue is negatively impacting the game, and yet you continue to ignore the overwhelmingly universal dislike of this system.
I realize that a change to this system will of course require a significant amount of time/work, but I think everyone would appreciate if you could just be transparent about this and give us an honest response. Just tell us, are you doing anything in regards to changing this system or can we expect these mods to be restricted to certain weapon types for all future content? I believe that an honest answer would be greatly appreciated by the community whether there is a change being worked on or not.
Thanks everyone for reading, I'm not going to hold my breath expecting a response from Bungie, but I felt it was worth a shot.

1 ReplyYeah, the idea was okay but the implementation was bad. Seriously, let us equip only champion mods to exotic weapons. You want weapon diversity? That's it right there, I would definitely put anti-barrier or overload on sweet business and coldheart or unstoppable on ace of spades just to name a few. That will definitely make people have weapon diversity. Let the mods rotate as they do between seasons for the different weapons like now but also let us equip them on exotics.

It’s a good idea that was executed poorly. Unless there is a technical reason that they haven’t told us about, the restriction is arbitrary. Can’t say I’m surprised though. This game does that A LOT. They really don’t seem to like player choice despite that they claim to.
