I can't remember what book it is... I think Knife of Dreams but when Rand just straight up asks Cadsuane if she thinks that he could just stop her heart with his will if he wanted to. That was -blam!-ing great. Rands slope into madness is epic.

Power through 9 and 10 if you aren't enjoying them much. The final 4 books are epic

Yeah, ive heard. Book 9 started off as a slog for the first few chapters, but its started to pick up. Book 1 was the only slog for me.

Book one was kind of boring after the beginning but book 10 was the absolute worst for me. Brandon Sanderson says it best with book 10 in that it's all build up with no pay off.
