Would love to have it since PC does !

Old amd GPUs and CPUs can't handle it

28 RepliesEdited by lCertifiedl: 3/8/2020 3:08:31 PMWon't ever happen, fov sliders require more power which the OG Xbox and PS are seriously lacking in. Edit - Seeing as people are too dumb to understand, the OG Xbox and playstation run the game at sub par Res and 30fps and it doesn't run that well, adding in an FoV slider makes that worse and so it won't be added. Console parity...

1 ReplyYes please ! And make it 8k at 120 FPS on console ! Xbox and PS4 are using 10 year old CPUs. Wait until this fall and get the new consoles.
Consoles are way to underpowered currently to do an FPS slider. Also, use correct punctuation.
2 RepliesThey explained this before - they can’t do it on consoles. Not enough power.
-
13 Replies* AN fov
-
Yup, works great in BFV on the one X.
-
PoV flexibility ruins a game. Its bad enough players have different sensitivity and can 180
-
And deadzone settings please. I'm a pvp player and the deadzone is huge in this game
-
Might happen soon. In the most recent TWAB, they mentioned changing the console UI to match PC's "to prepare for future updates." I wouldn't expect anything before next gen consoles release though.
-
We have wanted this since the start. They either don’t want to do it or can’t and still can’t be bothered to tell is which one it is.
-
3 RepliesYESSS!!!, if I remeber minecraft added an fov slider to console as well, you can go up to 100 something(I think 130). Having one in destiny would be nice.
-
27 RepliesConsole can't handle it, it already struggles to keep 30fps as is. "But X game does it" Now how games work. Each game is different in how it runs and what resources it uses. "Let the one X and pro do it" People would cry that it's unfair and even then the one X and Pro are still CPU bottlenecked and would still have awful performance. "They're just lazy!" They can't control bad hardware.
-
9 RepliesCurrent gen consoles cannot handle it. "BUT...BUT..(X) GAME CAN HANDLE IT" Destiny is extremely CPU heavy and on a shitty engine and running on outdated 2013 console hardware. If the new consoles deliver, then i dont see why they cant do it.

😑 We’re not going through this again. Do some research and stop being an oblivious fool.
-
11 RepliesPc isn’t limited to 30fps which is the main reason console POV is how it is.
-
Console will probably see a FOV slider and 60fps with the next generation of consoles.
-
Edited by WormChi: 3/9/2020 4:14:34 PMI’m hoping with the new settings menu that once next gen comes out we’ll have 60fps and fov settings
-
Tony used to want an FOV slider for consoles...
-
the game needs also a chat window on console
-
3 RepliesSacrifice resolution would allow it but console is marketing bs 4k. As owner of both pc and console I'd take 60 fps1080p with fov over 4k 30fps no fov.
-
We'll probably have to wait until the PS5 for that. It's sorely needed though. The FOV for PvP is terrible.
-
I don’t think this would be possible due to hardware limitations but it’s a great idea.
-
4 RepliesAnd a option for turning of aim assist
-
1 ReplyI think bungie should let players disable certain special effects so consoles can handle the increased fov without lag
-
Sadly it's a performance aspect that prevent them doing it.
-
9 RepliesCan’t think of a console shooter that has an fov slider honestly
