So you nerf guns for overuse but not classes?
It's something that's always kinda bugged me. We use izanagi and it gets nerfed because people use it too much. Same with HCs, breakneck, queensbreaker, Recluse, etc etc etc I'm not listing all 90 guns.
But then, you look at Guardian GG and the top 2 classes in use (in PvP anyway) is nightstalker and gunslinger and it has been that way in overwhelming numbers since December. Before that, arcstrider was top, and before that, gunslinger.
Hunters are the most popular class in destiny. They are over-used, hardly ever nerfed in a meaningful way (compared to other classes, which are routinely butchered), and the stats show that people use them just as often as all the weapons you tend to nerf.
Why not nerf hunters? According to your logic that overused things need nerfed, hunters are due for a huge one.
I'd start with wall hacks and invisibility since hunters are scouts and not spies, but really the sky is the limit.
Or you can buff the other 2 class abilities to make them actually functional.
Your call, really, but if you're gonna use usage stats as excuses to nerf stuff people like in this game, then hunters should've been cut in half 18 months ago.

Use isn’t power. And hardly nerfed meaningfully? Look at Year 1 of this game. Constant fast hunter nerfs that neutered the corresponding piece. Meanwhile titans get slight adjustment to OEM a year later. Warlocks has hand held for same duration.

Just use a hunter if you think it's that easy. Ffs. You have instant healing on demand and romp rooms in PVE while hunters NEED invisibility to make up for never healing.

Eeeehm. You must be blind. Hunter has been nerfed at least 4x every single season. With a total nerf count that is higher than warlock and titan combined.

8 RepliesHunters are not OP they are most used because the avg player can more easily relate to them and then starts the game with them. This happens before they have any clue whats good or bad. Brand new players start and pick a character. Vast majority stick with their first choice. They see a warlock in a dress with a corsage. They see a big football player, defensive lineman. They see an avg sized soldier looking guy. Pretty easy to figure out. Top players are not struggling with warlock and titan. They arent struggling on pc either. Go watch some sweats or a tourney and watch the shit guys are pulling off with locks and titans. It would probably change ur mind. Most complaining dont know what their characters are capable of or how to build for it. All this class hate and bias is the debate of 6 year olds. Its tired.

3 RepliesDodge needs all of it's hidden abilities removed! It should either grant a reload or a 9 second melee cooldown! Nothing else unless it's invis or damage resistance tied to nightstalker or arcstider! Also lightweight weapons and traction shouldn't effect class ability cooldown!

Also golden gun did get a nerf... they destroyed top tree gunslinger with damage fall off to the point where erentil has a longer ohk range. That’s just the most recent of nerfs and it came out of the blue for no reason or any warning just this season.

Agreed 100%. (Cue hunter defenders saying it's only recently they have been on top and those class's are getting nerfed) Oh wait, they are already here in force. 10 seconds class cool down with 4x benefits lol.

3 RepliesHunters aren't popular because they're op. Hunters are popular because they're the rouge/assassin/hunter class and the majority of people like them more than tank and mage classes. Also, hooded/cloaked characters are much more appealing to general audiences
