Have you just replaced the obelisks with warmind towers?
It might be a cynical view, but to me it looks like we will have to unlock warmind bunkers and level them up to activate the defenses. Isn't this the exact same activity as levelling up obelisks, just with a different coat of paint?

1 ReplyI'm just wondering when they will add Venus back into the game. If they are going to just keep recycling old content and making us run around in the same zones over and over they might as well recycle good content. Venus was easily one of the best areas in D1. Instead we got the ugly boring moon. Now it looks like we get an escalation protocol rip off on the bland moon and a few other areas that have been over used already.

What if it's literally where the obelisks were. Nah they probably used a halo reach floaty camera editor to grab it, slide it to somewhere else on the map, and then slapped a skin on it

Of course that’s what they’ve done . There will be nothing new . Just reskinned shit and the same mechanics as last season.

4 RepliesI'm excited to have a reason to log on, considering I haven't really played in more than a month, but I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect more than the last season. From the little that I've seen, it looks like a copy-paste. +trials. If there was anything substantial they would have showed it off, with a community manager stream... (sorry wrong game, destiny has no community managers.) The real story is Lukes vision for the game. He's been trying hard to make leveling pointless, weapons weak, perks and stats that don't matter. I guess it's too hard to set up automated testing so you can balance out PVP and still have good PVE. I keep hoping for a change in management or for them to sell the franchise.

You’re not being cynical at all. This is the new Bungie where doing as little as possible is the way forward. It’s been mostly re-skins and disguised regurgitated content for quite a while now. They’ve clearly lost their passion for this game.

with the infosplosion they have put out on the pve content of next season I doubt if they expect anyone to be playing pve. That is one of those self fulfilling prophecies...

Yes. There will be very little to none when it comes to 'new' content. Only re-skinned and reusable assets for all Seasonal content.

Pretty sure this entire year has been the same exact thing every single time just with a different coat of paint and it all gets taken away when the next season starts. Pretty soon they will be adding taking away weapons and probably armor every couple of seasons. At least I won't have to worry about it as I have decided enough is enough and quit Destiny along with every single person I know that played it.
