Embrace Change, it 's healthy.

Ever wonder why the game feels stale and there's nothing to do? It's because no one wants to embrace change and try something new. Bungie is not taking away your weapons.... just limiting their shelf life. You can still pull out mountain top and play with it anytime you want... just don't expect to be able to use it in Pinnacle activities for very long...... and that's OKAY. Bungie is doing everything they can to try and get everyone to try something new... even GIVING AWAY GOD ROLLS. I am personally bored of using the exact same loadout for every pinnacle activity and glad that Bungie is trying to get me to try new things. For example, my fireteam and I ran the master nightfall with pulse rifles and shotguns.... it was challenging! and yet at the same time.... was A LOT of fun. Embrace change, all. It's healthy for you.

Is a year not enough to enjoy something before moving on?

    • No one said you "HAVE" to use the same load out all the time. That was your choice. This is a play as you want type of game so you can change loads outs and play styles at WILL. I mixed up load outs and yeah its fun. But I have spent countless hours grinding for a mix of good-rolls to god-rolls that I want to switch between. What you are missing in this "Embrace Change" post is that Bungie is killing the incentive to 1. Grind for current and future god-rolls since the weapons has a shelf life. 2. Infuse weapons up to Master Work level since the weapon has a shelf life. 3. Kills the drive to go after pinnacle / ritual weapons since the grind and tasks are long and repetitive knowing that all your effort in this is wasted because weapons have a shelf life. 4. Why sweat in trials for flawless to get trials weapons knowing that they have a shelf life. 5 Kills the incentive to buy weapon ornaments with SILVER because the weapons have a shelf life and it would be wasted money.

Stop qouting datto. Its cringe. Id rather have "so much to do and none of it matters" than "theres only one seasonal activity people que for because its the only gear that still has 9 months left on its usefullness lifespan. And even that doesnt matter in the end" Stop justifying bungie way out of innovating. Just today i saw someone mention a flamethrower weapon type. Theres plenty of ways to make new gear desirable, biche and serve new functional roles without taking away the old stuff.

      •
It's not a matter of "hating change", it's a matter of standing against bad game design. Destiny's RNG is brutal. It can easily take months to find the ideal weapon with the right combination of perks. Not everyone wants to settle on Sundial weapons. By the time you find that gun, it could only have 2 or less months before it expires. If we're partway into a gun's lifespan, then you might not even have a chance to use it at all. For many players, this straight up defeats the purpose of playing the game.
