Any ideas? I tried reinstalling, verify files blah blah blah, none worked.

I have this issue as well. 4 month old PC and Destiny freezes constantly to the point where I hardly want to play. When it freezes, it locks up my machine and I have to hard reboot and I hate doing that to a $2000 PC. Shocked there's no real solve since February!

Yeah, I've been getting this exact issue for a long time. Nothing works. I've reinstalled the game twice and verified the files more times than I can count. I've also tried every solution other players have found and nothing has worked. I used to be able to play just fine, but i haven't been able to play for a long time now. I am also playing on a laptop with integrated graphics, so that may have something to do with it, but I doubt it, since I'm able to play games like Doom '16 with high graphics and no issues. I'd really like to be able to play the game again soon, but considering how this has been an issue for a lot of people for a long time, and the only solutions I've seen have been from other players instead of the developers, I don't have a lot of confidence in that happening.

2 RepliesHi there, Thanks for reaching out. We are currently investigating this issue. Some players report they have fixed this issue by following these steps: 1. In the Steam Games library, right click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. 2. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory. 3. Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages." 4. Then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files. Some have also reported that swapping to a different language and swapping back helps.
