It really isn't their fault, but they are driving up the housing costs, because when they come here from places that are stupid expensive, they look at our prices & think they are cheap. They aren't though, because folks are tacking on an extra $100,000 to the value that the homes don't actually have.
Since I know this, I refuse to pay $250,000 for a house I know is barely worth the $150,000 they were charging before these folks moved here. It isn't these folks fault, but it seriously makes things harder, because eventually this housing bubble will burst and then I am holding a note on a house that is not worth what I paid.
On another note, I really, really need to release this toxic back up of gas I have building, before I cause the house to explode & then implode......

1 ReplyI can’t tell if this is supposed to be satirical or not.... I guess that makes this pretty good satire.

2 RepliesI hate it. The number of high-density high rise apartments going up is absurd, and they’d gladly charge you $2k a month to share a space with four other people. My old apartment was pretty -blam!-ing great. It was moderately sized, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light, and it had a loft and a damn balcony. Plus it was cheaper than the 2x2 cave I’m staying at now. I’d have loved to stay there, but the owners sold to some prick that tore it down to throw up another money farm.

1 ReplyMy city has this shit really bad. The lowest price for a decent 4 bedroom here is 350,000. My parents bought their place 4 years ago and it has gone up 120,000. Nice for them, but it shows how sick the larger community is. U can't rent a shit hole for less than 1800. Normal people just can't live here. -blam!- all the California assholes. It's not really their fault, but there should be laws to protect regular people in communities.

1 ReplyIts gonna be like the Florida Housing Bubble Burst from 1926. The Great Depression didnt officially start until 1929, but it definitely hit Florida well before that year.
