It would be nice if you farmed for a great roll and were able to ‘add to collections’ and, in the future, could overwrite that roll with any other roll you wanted. And be able to reacquire it at anytime for no material cost. Aka solving the whole vault space issue altogether. Kind of how you ‘favorite’ your finisher, except, the weapon you ‘add to collections’, gets sent to your collections. Allowing you to pick it up again at anytime, even if you deleted it in your vault or character inventory. Making the collections tab actually stand for what it means lol. Should be the same for armor tbh.
