Maybe when it's masterworked allow the option to set the element at whatever we want?

Just bring back glass needles and u use those to change element or rolls but for everything not just exotics it would make people go to xur
-
Or get rid of it since it is bullshit.
-
Just be gone with it. It’s one layer too complex.
-
Or make it easy and just remove it altogether lol
-
9 RepliesOr just remove it all together
-
3 RepliesJust remove it. It’s so dumb. There’s no way to farm for specific exotics and roles are so random, the idea of having to get a good stat role in the distribution needed and get the element in the off chance the piece your looking for drops, it’s just mental. That’s not a grind that’s just insanity or insanely good luck.

2 RepliesEdited by Rebellis: 2/9/2020 5:33:57 PMIt's arbitrary, like someone made it all up on a whim while taking a dump. Shotguns will be arc, rocket launchers solar, nade launchers are void. Like, WTF. Just get rid of it.

While we're at it, seasonal mods shouldn't cost energy to equip. They should just be additional perks on the armor.
-
That would be sweet
-
3 RepliesTheres a reason they made elemental affinities. When they made every single armor perk a mod they -blam!-ed up. If they remove elemental affinities every mod would be on that armor piece and you see how bad the lag is when applying mods, imagine trying to apply a mod when there is 40+ mods to select from.

5 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 2/9/2020 7:59:21 AMMasterworks and Affinities should be our minmaxing tool for that drop we want to keep. You know that useless material called Weapon Telemetry? Make it a currency for rerolling our affinities and masterworks. The description of the item is literally: "Recorded performance data that could prove useful in modifying weapons." Just add armor to the description and we're golden.
-
Make Xur sell glass needles. Glass needles reroll affinity.
-
Edited by ClovenTrack620: 2/10/2020 10:28:00 AMaffinities are a gimmicky failure, just another layer of RNG that no1 asked for, i hope they go away in future Seasons
-
And make the mods independent of an element. Why does only void elemental armor can have sniper mods for example.
-
4 RepliesAllow us to go back to armor 1.0.
-
It's not enough at this point. They must expand "energy" on armour alot. And I mean alot. Right now you can have only (e.g.) grenade mod and enhanced hand-cannon mod. Yes you can slot some shite more, like minor resist but this is simply ridiculous. Make a energy-space for at least one enhanced-version mod plus an activity mod. And FOR F SAKE make activity-seasonal mod slottable in any armour piece.

1 ReplyEdited by SMOKEY D 7: 2/9/2020 8:59:06 PMI was so excited for armor 2.0. It is actually worse than the old system. Elemental infinity, horrible. Seasonal mod slot, horrible. 99% armor drops with stats below 55 and useless. The other 5% that drop above 55 are about 80% useless. Mod point system , is set to highs for most mods. Pretty much any armor, from any previous season before shadowkeep, can never be worn because of horrible stat drops.

Remove it (element affinity) & the bloomin’ developer/team that thought it a good idea to implement!

1 ReplyEdited by TJ_Dot: 2/9/2020 10:23:00 PMWe shouldn't be expected to compromise with a bad system with 0 benefits to anyone. Just get rid of it. Stop asking for adjustments to it, it's not worth it.

Bring back those radiant glass needles
-
At the very least. We need this for exotic armor.
-
Let Xur have some meaning. Go to him and make it so it’s like 3 shards or some unhealthy legendary shards amount to change the element! That would make sense to me!

Elemental Affinity is a pretty big problem that Bungie is going to have to address sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.
-
Yes, just make another mod slot called “affinity” like the d2y1 weapons had.
