Question why is saving Saint-14 quest line a requirement to get the Bastion quest? Because it seems a little ridiculous to have, not to mention one of the quest requirements to be able to complete the quest is An Impossible Task, Recharging the Sundial '25 Guardian kills' why do I have to play PVP in a PVE story quest line that has be vastly PVE it make no sense to do that. and I hate PVP, I don't play PVP

2 RepliesAgree, I ran all the puzzle solutions, finished the quest and yet I cant get the Bastian quest because I didn't feel like playing Strikes.... like every quest now is " Go and redo 20 things that aren't new".... ya, had enough of that... really regret buying the season pass.

1 ReplyEdited by LeqendzOTI: 1/26/2020 2:55:03 AMBruh, its 25 kills, i hate crucible and 25 kills isn't a chore, just brain dead it with spare rations... also saint-14 and bastion are linked because its saint-14's weapon.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Its linked because bungie said so
-
5 RepliesYou do realize that saint gives you the quest for bastion, right? If you didn’t save him how could he give it to you?
-
1 ReplyIf you don't want to play 1/3 of the game then it's not bungie's fault if you dont get to play all the content The game I's split into 3 parts PvE, PvP, and raid/980 stuff

Why not pay attention to the lore, the dialogue, and the story? You'll have your answer without posting here.
and I hate PVP, I don't play PVP
Then i wouldn't sweat over getting Bastion - its pretty useless in PvE - however qutie effective in PvP.

Trolling? B8 m8?

Because Bungie is lazy. They had a story for Saint-14 and a planned exotic for this season. The 2 teams were not working with each other but in their own little bubbles. Then they had to link the 2 to accommodate the season calendar. I can only imagine what it's like in those meeting rooms when they are discussing how the seasons will progress. I have visions of monkeys throwing their feces at one another and the whiteboard.

3 RepliesGuys we've got another complainer!! Popcorn for everyone 🤣🤣 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

If you did the Devil's Ruin quest and listened to the dialogue, you'd know why PvP is a part of the quest. Saint used to frequent the Crucible back when it was a place where guardians went to settle scores. "The Crucible, Shaxx, what have you done with it?" -Saint If you're worried about connection, my internet is total bottom of the barrel (if you've ever heard of an ISP called Frontier, you'd understand). I was able to get through the quest step in a few games.

12 RepliesDon’t get bastion then 🤷🏻♂️
-
Just play pvp with your eyes closed op. You'll be fine. Just make sure to draw a huge reticle on your Guardian's forehead to achieve maximum effect. It's like riding a bicycle, but with lag.

1 Replyem for bastion is totally normal, it was a saint weapon after all , in the first mission you can see bastion near saint bubble
-
1 ReplyHonestly I’m fine with pvp/gambit in a quest as long as it fits in the story of that quest How does killing guardians help purify a guardian killing gun to make lumina? It doesn’t How does going into gambit for any reason at all help save Saint 14 when gambit wasn’t even thing when he was alive originally? It doesn’t See this is the trouble, it completely messes up the small story being told in the quest. Be far more worthwhile if they had an actual narrative that made sense

4 RepliesIt’s 25 kills. You can get that done in 2 or 3 games. 1 if you’re lucky. It’s not the end of the world.
-
8 Repliesah so that is why i didnt get the quest and one of my playing friends, like you fricken HATE the crap box pvp. how stupid of self absorbed bungie staff to continuously shove that pvp down everyone's throat. everyone i know hates it as well, most just do it because they have to. i do not - creates too much anger and frustration playing a f(*ken part of the game that you die before you even walk around a corner. people stand in nades while you shoot them and they just turn around and one shot you. etc etc etc. ffs bungie respect peoples right not to go into that pathedic crucible
-
2 RepliesSo why is their no workaround? If a player has bad internet connection or other circumstances that prevents them from playing any pvp game types what about them? And why wasn't this take it into consideration what's the most logical conclusion to do
-
1 ReplyIt’s literally one of Saints old weapons that is why they are linked lol
-
Saint-14 wouldn't ask just any Guardian to look into why there's a signal that matches his Light; he'd only trust the Guardian that saved him from the Infinite Forest with a task like that.

Bungie new concept of trickle content.
