Could've brought back the Vex mythoclast Bungie...
Could have ACTUALLY made this community event worthwhile with an exotic that suited the theme and was one of the staples of the destiny franchise.
Going back to FFXIV, If anyone's on the Chaos data server and Spriggan world server HMU.

Oh so it'll three tap to the body and be so powerful that you'll make a post to whine that it's too OP and it'll get nerfed--followed by another post whining about it getting nerfed and "Bungie doesn't allow fun." Or would you like it post-nerf? Where you'll whine that they "ruined the weapon", or that it's "underwhelming and not like it was in year 1, year 1 was the best except all those times I cried about it to bungo" Might as well give you some Oscar's because people like that are award winning clowns.

1 ReplyI don’t have much faith in Bungie to Develop anything jaw dropping or special. When I look back at D2 as a whole what jumps out as true enhancements are. 1-wall grab ability 2-Jotunn(arguably the best D2 exotic created to date) 3-finishers. Overall there has been zero genre leading Development. From a creativity standpoint Bungie needs to step things up big time.

If it had been then forums would be filled with "damn Bungie can't even give us something original just a bunch of recycled content" you know it I know they know it because at this point Bungie is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

It didnt suit the theme at all. The theme is corridors of time and saint 14. Vex was last season.

No........ Let's be honest here. The more D1 content makes its way to D2 the more this game deteriates. It creates lack of effort, imagination, and creativity on Bungies part. Although the event or quest was lackluster, having methoclast as the reward would have been the real slap in the face. All that effort for a D1 exotic? Not that what we got is spectacular but it is a new exotic. Not more exotics from D1 should appear on D2.

2 RepliesBring back exotics is boring, new ones are better. Bastion is cool, it's not the greatest, but it's fun to use. I do not get why every exotic has to be some OP thing. In saying that, I still hate the Mountaintop for being an exotic that is in a legendary skin with all my being. I have it, I use it, but I hate using it.

And you could stop asking for old weapons to return. I'm glad bungie gave you guys something new and not a reskin or d1 weapon.

2 RepliesWhen people say "stop bringing old exotics" I don't get it. Aren't both games in the same universe ? Wouldn't it make sense to retrieve the exotics we lost and and at the same time gather new ones? Then we would have a huge pool of exotics. I like how Bungie changes some of the perks of the D1 exotics when we get them back. I just don't get why people say "old exotics" because aren't D2 and D1 in the same universe? Wouldn't it make sense to get the exotics again from D1?

Nah, they will save that for D3 🙄 a long with Thorn, Ace of Spades, Outbreak, Truth, Monte Carlo, Bad JuJu, Last Word, Suros, Sleeper, Whisper, Mida ect..... ect.... 3.0 With of course, unimaginative, repetitive, Reskined, repurposed, boring content drops over and over

Why? Vex mythoclast was a terrible weapon post nerf, if it came into the game as a straight port no one would use it because it wouldnt hack it vs absolutely anything else. Atleast bastion tackles the kinetic fusion rifle that a few people have been asking for on the forums.
