Bungie, Can you address cost of enhancement prisms and ascendant shards.
I'm fully aware I'm gonna get some smart ass comments of doing 980 nightfalls for materials etc but some people don't enjoy ordeal nightfalls over and over again just to get materials. Enhancement prisms/ascendant shards are costly and hard enough to get just like enhancement cores were before gunsmith started selling them. To get 1 enhancement prism, it cost 10 enhancement cores, and 1 ascendant shard is esentially 100 enhancement cores worth which is a rip off. Heck, masterworking an exotic cost 3 ascendant shards. It is possible to adjust the price of those materials buy like half or something.

Bungie: We hear you feedback and are decreasing the cost of the gear by 1. But to stay true to the "MMORPG" exp that is Destiny we will be adding in even more harder and rarer items needed to upgrade gear to the game you only can get on Thursday at 2AM by doing a level 1000 light strike using only bows.

Ask yourself if they are even worth it? What does master working gear do...give you a couple of extra stat points. That to me reflects a huge disparity in effort to reward. On top of that, the seasonal armor is rendered almost moot once the new season rolls out as the mods are season specific. Grind one activity until your eyes bleed for a coveted resource that in all fairness isn’t worth it.

How bout having more ways to earn them by playing different activities. Sick of farming the same shit nightfall. This gameplay loop is the worst and bungie should be embarrassed.

agree. I recently masterworled an exotic, and guess what happend? right. two days later I dropped a piece with much better stats.... and now? sticking to the old MW or spend another 3 shards which I grinded over weeks??? btw, does anyone know what you get back from a dismantled exotic? is it 18 prisms, as normal MW armor gives 6?

Shush man, evrytime we ask about this stuff they just make it even harder to masterwork stuff by adding another layer of currency. Next season expect a reintroduction of exotic shards to masterwork your gear. One exotic shard for the low low price of 10 ascendant shards.

That said, prism's are actually the worst thing's to buy. Upgrade Modules are priced fine, and so are shards - PROVIDED - you are running nightmare hunts, pit, and ordeals as they drop prisms like mad. My biggest issue is the fact that there is a cap on these resources, if I run out of items to upgrade I shouldn't lose out on resources that I earn while still playing the game.

It's sure is quite the grind specially with all the seasonal armor stuff and sh*t but what tryhards are going to say it's just: "no" At the same time they are mad about bungie fixing wish ender and are happy about they removing the rocket launcher kills step from this season iron banner

they need to change banshies weekly quests to award both high end shards, 1 acendant from 1 and 5 prisms from the other and for anyone crying that's to easy....that's still only 1 masterworked set every 5 weeks so 15 weeks for a full suit of every element....not counting exotics but ill leave that one alone

I wish I could earn them playing pvp, thats where I spend most of my time in destiny. I reset my rank at least 8-10 times within a month, I wish reseting the ranks granted 1 shard and at least 2-3 prisms

The Gunsmith is only bad luck protection. You are supposed to do Ordeals to get materials.

3 Repliesyup.. its called economy, if you don't like the economy, sure, -blam!- about it.. but, its not going to drastically change. You need to put in the time to get the materials either by playing the game where its a reward or by purchasing them which may mean playing more. fully masterworked armour is not a reward for casual players to amass but, rather for those investing significant time and effort into the game, where depending on that time and effort, you may have a few or plenty of masterworked items. Just because you can't afford a Ferrari, doesn't mean you will be able to lobby for them to cut the cost in half so you can afford it or be able to go to the liquor store expecting to purchase a few bottles of Dom on a beer budget.

To be honest i don't think Bungie should address the cost of enhancement Prisms and Ascendant shards just because only a person that isn't doing their job can have this issue, i mean if you go do some 920 you will get enhancement Cores and Prisms you don't even need to go higher then 920, just put some time and farm what everybody else farms when they need to get masterworked gear, i mean one of this days you want Bungie to give everything for free so why even play the game.

Pro tip: save all your resources to masterwork your favorite exotic(s) and just bring your seasonal legendary armor up to tier 7 then forget about it.
