I've only had a problem with Upgrade Modules that I can't pull from the Season Pass, but Bungie has always stated that the Postmaster is not meant to be additional storage space. If you're doing a lot of activities back-to-back and don't want to go to the Tower, you can pull items from the Postmaster using DIM or Ishtar Commander and delete them while loading in to the next Strike or match.

Honestly, that seems a little silly. I don’t mind that once you hit the tower you need to clear the post master, but if I’m playing 15 strikes in a row, I should never lose drops. Ever. And I certainly shouldn’t require a third-party app to do it. The official app does let me claim an item, but it should also let me delete from the post master or store directly to vault.

[/quote] It's your choice whether or not to clear out your lost and found, but that's your choice to risk losing any items that get pushed out by something newer.
