I don't care what the activity is (gambit, strikes, NF's, Crucible, seasonal activities, Forges, etc.) but create a path to Accendant Shards that is accessible for solo players. I'm 45 and not interested in LFG. I've done it some and it's very spotty on how successful it is, but honestly I just feel that the game should take care of this within the game itself.

33 RepliesI, by all metrics, am a "solo" player and my eyes never roll more than when someone posts that the game needs to cater to the exact opposite of what a always online mmo esque game is. If you can't operate how you want within the framework of the game, the game isn't for you.

3 RepliesI think once Prime Engrams no longer have the chance to raise your power level then they should have a chance to decrypt into Prisms and Ascendant Shards. I don't get to run pinnacle content for various reasons so Prime Engrams end up being just as useless as any other drop in the game.

5 RepliesI’m just glad Bungie “fixed” the Enhancement Core issue by creating 2 more consumables needed to upgrade the armor. I only need 10 (EC) enhancement cores to get a prism, and only 10 (EP) enhancement prisms to get 1 (AS) ascendant shard, and only 3 shards to master work my exotic gear (which to me is the only ones worth masterworking) So now I only need: lvl 6: 2 EC lvl 7: 3 EC lvl 8: 2 EP (20 EC) lvl 9: 3 EP (30 EC) Lvl 10: 3 (30 EP or 300 EC) So I really only need 355 Enhancement Cores to masterwork an exotic armor piece......

19 RepliesMake it Non-PvE too. The only reason I still play this game is crucible and the crucible rewards system is a joke. You literally get a non pinnacle for glory rank legend.

1 ReplyWould be nice to get shards from sayy... I dunno... Valor resets?
-
14 RepliesRun 3 pits a week and delete what it gives you. Done
-
4 RepliesIf I was to change anything it would be an ascendant shard from the following: Flashpoint completion 5 x Crucible weekly completions Gambit weekly playlist completion Weekly Vanguard Strike completion This way the majority of the player base can gain access to a rare consumable by simply playing the game with more flexibility. I personally haven’t struggled to masterwork my gear with even some exotics masterworked however it would be a nice QOL improvement to have more avenues to acquire these items.

2 RepliesCan't you just farm the materials required to buy them from Banshee?

18 RepliesEdited by Cinderchar: 1/4/2020 10:33:39 PMThe worst part is the majority of people who advocate for LFG don’t even use LFG. The game has basically turned into needing to have actual friends who consistently play Destiny almost every day. Maybe some people have gotten lucky and made real friends through LFG, but that is FAR from the norm. I would say 90% of the things I have LFGed for, i.e. NFs, exotic quests, dungeon runs, etc. haven’t even been with active mics. You don’t need em. It’s the same enemies doing the same shit with the same mechanics in just about every activity for 5 years now. Bungie just need to set up better and harsher rules when you want to MM for endgame content because a raid is literally the only thing you need verbal communication for in this game. I’m only in my 30’s, but I work every day, and when I come home after interacting with mouth breathers all day long, sometimes the last thing I honestly want to do is interact with more during my time when I just want to chill out.

There is, its the gunsmith.
-
You can still be a solo player and use LFG or the occasional friends to do the Nightfalls with.
-
At this point most armor isn't even worth masterworking. It costs too much and becomes irrelevant with every new season. I definitely think exotics need to be cheaper to masterwork.
-
10 RepliesI agree. They should also let us re-roll our masterwork for 3 ascendant shards to whatever we choose. Nothing worse than getting a god roll mindbender’s with a stability mw. I will pay 3 ascendant shards bungie!
-
2 RepliesGive them from dismantling exotics. Done and done.
-
Seasonal event content seems like a no-brainer. Every run of sundial gives a 25% change to drop an a-shard. Maybe the gunsmith could give a weekly bounty that rewards a guaranteed shard. Legendary nightfalls are annoying even when you have a team. Who wants to run the same strike over and over again?
-
A M E N .
-
The cost of masterworking is simply too high for disposable gear now, it needs to be more accessible. Before all this I used to go out of my way to masterwork gear, I just don’t bother anymore unless I have the currency to buy from banshee, even then it’s not a priority.

5 RepliesFarm the 920 matchmade Ordeal, kill every special champion throughout the strike, receive the Platinum Rewards which can include Enhancement Prisms. Farm 10 Prisms, go to Banshee, buy an Ascendant Shard. Repeat the above steps for however many Shards you need.
-
11 RepliesNo friends?
-
Nope, go make friends lul
-
2 RepliesAny of the modes that ppl put posts for saying no mic ie nightfall and poh should have matchmaking added
-
6 Replies980 nightfall. Lfg. Problem solved.
-
I think valor/infamy rank resets should give them and then maybe ikor could offer a weekly bounty that awards them.
-
1 ReplyI agree I am far too old to be adding new friends to the game as well or dealing with randoms on lfg. I get annoyed sure by matchmaking stuff when you get 2 potatoes but at least you get to do the content I guess. Like right now I have no way of getting the swords from heroic menagerie. I'd sit through and carry some potatoes if it mean't I had a shot. Tried to solo it got past the lamp lighting but died in area 2 sent back to orbit. As for the materials it sucks getting 100 friggin cores per shard and takes like a week almost per 1 doing 12 gunsmith bounties a day and buying 5 a day from spider. Just yeah it's bad.
-
1 ReplyJust when you thought the cores were bad enough bungie then actually found a way to make it worse lol. I bet if we keep complaining about this they will make those cores easier to get but add some other way to screw its players

5 RepliesEdited by MenTaL9R: 1/4/2020 6:47:43 PM@The Makr I hear you, I'm even older (and grumpy lol...) than you are and have little to no interest in being forced into LFG to complete stuff, or just to get various things like shards. For that reason I just don't play like I used to. Sure there's a path to get them solo, but it's a way over the top grind to do it. Bungie has systematically killed progression in this game for solo players. D1 wasn't like that, I think that's why I liked it so much more even with the quality of life improvements in D2. AoT, year 3, D1 was the best state this game was ever in IMHO. You could progress playing activities you liked, and weren't forced into any specific things unless you wanted to chase a particular weapons or whatever. What platform do you play on?
