We had variation in year one of D2. We could change the element of these at the time but just based on Collections we still have:
Last Hope= Arc
The Last Dance= Solar
Eulogy= Void
Etana= Arc
Traveler's Judgement= Arc
Right now, we only have Arc element for random rolled three burst sidearms including
Last Hope= Arc
The Last Dance= Arc
Traveler's Judgement= Arc
How about modifying this? Last Hope can be Void, The Last Dance can be Solar, and Traveler's Judgement can be Arc.

8 RepliesMake the 3 burst sidearm all 3 elements 1 bullet is solar, 1 is void, 1 is arc.

As a hardcore sidearm user I agree.

Definitely. Not just w/ these guns. We need gun variation in general. Maybe a Gambit ritual kinetic breachload GL. A new kinetic bow. A 3 burst kinetic sidearm. 450 Autos (which need a buff). 180 scouts, etc. -
1 ReplyThey have this issue with a lot of weapon types. Look at ganoras axe and good bone structure.

5 RepliesEdited by TJ_Dot: 1/3/2020 6:59:48 PMIf we had element changing back, this would be cured for everyone. I could also delete the guns I don't have space for that are busy preserving elements. Seriously, there's no negative other than potential depreciation of certain loots value, but if element is the only reason to have something, then that isn't exactly great. One of the few things that were great about vanilla D2, also no longer exploitable by Tractor Cannon. Apply the necessary restrictions to when you can do it and suddenly elements aren't changed on the fly anymore. Make it good enough to where it lets you have the choice of element it provided, but not so much that having one of each element is slightly redundant

3 RepliesIsnt the scorn sidearm void?

1 ReplyThe year one mods were honestly a good system that did not need changing, integrating the perks into armor was a good idea, but they could have just made an extra mod slot for weapon perks on armor, and elemental damage type on weapons
-
1 ReplyIn d1 you could farm for the same weapon and have it in three different elements. Elements were random just like perks. Why bungie chose to take that feature away is beyond me.

3 RepliesI can't even understand why Last Hope and Dance exist in the game together. Are they both really Arc too? Can someone explain the difference to me with the understanding that I have not yet done an in game comparison for myself?

1 ReplyJust go back to the elemental mod system. That was a huge QoL upgrade and to take it away made no sense.

1 ReplyHaving omolon weapons being anything other than void doesn’t feel right, since (I’m pretty sure) all omolon weapons used void energy in D1. Well, the coolant they used was void, and they fired purple bullets.

1 ReplyBump. I already have a god rolled The Last Dance so there's no reason for me to grind for the new guns since they are Arc damage as well.
