I'm sure this deceptive practice isn't a bug, but I'm reporting it as such anyway. The Gifts in Return move randomly to a new location in your inventory after opening one. This means your cursors will now be hovering over a new item. Of course, the Gift's "open" function is the same as every other item's "dismantle/discard" function. You can guess what happens next. Seeing as most people have more than 1 Gift in Return to open at a time, the cursor is now over something else. Could it be worthless weapon telemetries? Maybe priceless ascendant shards? Upgrade modules? It's random and yet another disgusting slimy tactic employed by Bungie to get players to unintentionally part with valuable resources.
