The bright dust economy post shadowkeep is -blam!-ing beyond terrible. Im a Day 1 player and im hurting for bright dust now considering my bright dust was killed by the costs of tribute hall tributes when it was first released (Dumb mistake) but felt more like a trap. Now im prioritizing weeklies on 3 characters just so i can get an emote. I couldnt even get the skeleton suit on 1 character for the halloween event because of how much it cost and how very little bright dust you can get. Something has to give for eververse and bright dust.

1 ReplyThey were smart (evil) with the hall dump. Then they made Eververse items decrypt into freaking shards. .... They had this planned for awhile.

4 RepliesI had about 11,000 bright dust last week. Spent 1500 on a ghost projection and i think 400 on a transmat effect. Now I have 13,000 right now. It helps grinding Eva's bounties for the bright dust and double exp.

Day 1 here, I didn’t spend my bright dust for the tribute hall till I had the max discount.
-
10 RepliesI'm curious how you have 0 being a day 1 player. I've taken breaks from the game since day 1 and I'm sitting on 80k

1 ReplyIm a day 1 player and i have 6k plus bright dust even after having none fir the tribute hall i used up all of my first weeks bright dust to finish it. I currently still have 6k plus bright dust. Do you know why? (Its not me doing the bounties that give 5 bright dust) it’s because i buy what i want and will use, i dont buy everything in the store just to collect it, i didnt buy the skeleton armor cause i was using another set that i liked more. Its like real life you can blow all your money away on stupid things then complain you dont get paid enough
-
3 RepliesDont forget ! Solstice of armor glows are another trap.
-
I have more bright dust now than ever before. Like 8 or 9000. Nothing to spend it on
-
2 RepliesEdited by King Leaps: 12/24/2019 8:02:02 PMI am also a day 1 player, and I don’t have bright dust issues at all. Edit: Still want more loot going into the actual game and not the store
-
They want real money purchases, don’t be surprised if bright dust is slowly fazed out
-
4 RepliesNo 3600 bright dust a week. This is a grinding game. If you don’t like a game where you grind, then see you next year when you come back.
just so i can get an emote
Dude really needs his emote
-
Lol pauper
-
Now im prioritizing weeklies on 3 characters just so i can get an emote..
Listen to yourself holy shit. Play another game or something, what the -blam!- is wrong with you lol.
-
Are you tempting them..
-
It was the goal, they want to push silver purchases as much as possible.
-
So how much bright dust do you need? Enough to buy everything in the store? Are you ever possibly going to use everything in the store? How many sparrows do you need? How many emotes? Transmat effects? Ghost projections? Ships? Ornaments? The answer is not all of them. It's not there to be earned just so you can complete your collection and never use it. You save your bright dust so that when you see something that you actually like, you have enough to buy it. It's not as generous, but that doesn't mean it's broken.
-
10 bright dust for a dawning bounty, that's just a kick in the balls.
-
6 RepliesAsk yourself why you spent all the glimmer on the Tribute Hall. Are you using Bad Juju frequently?! I balked and have plenty of dust now. They told us ahead of time this was going to happen and you still did not prepare.
-
7 RepliesHmm. I have 130,000 bright dust....
-
I definitely could have killed it harder. The only thing available would be a glitchy rubber duck sparrow.
-
1 ReplyYes. If you couldn't earn any Bright Dust, it would've been killed harder. Plus, the Bright Dust economy is not designed to let you buy every single item. If it were, Bungie would make no money. Save up your Dust for whatever you want, and use cash to buy the things that cost the most Dust
-
And they give you 100 bright dust on the season pass what a joke bungie is cheap when it comes to players earning bright dust, so they can get items in game that they played for. It’s a shame there becoming a money grab like fornite. With ridiculous asking prices for all eververse items. You can’t earn the dawning armor by playing the game anymore??? This is why so many players are leaving this game behind or will if they keep heading in this direction IMO

2 RepliesThey killed bright dust like they did because we were no “throwing money at the screen” like they were hoping we would. Most were doing what you are supposed to do in a video game; unlocking this stuff by PLAYING the game and EARNING the dust to get said things. JMO
-
Luckily there isn't anything to buy with bright dust, so issue solved.

2 RepliesIt’s not dead per say as you can get an easy 3600 Dust a week by doing the weeklies. Unless your trying to get EVERYTHING (You need to buy silver in this case) then it’s not too bad. Im a day 1 player too and have over 35k bright dust right now. I buy every emote that’s comes out (Cause why not) and I feel I’m still earning the stuff
