Just wondering if there are other guardians that haven't used the new mod system and armor.
I won't touch it. All the armor that is dropping is terrible. The only armor I even plan on using is the armor in the season pass. It's actually really good later on in the tier. But even then, master working armor all over again is a joke. The amount of time to fully level up an exotic armor piece for instance is disgusting. Regular armor isn't as bad, but it still takes a shit ton of time to do.
I liked the mod system until this season and they want us to leave behind old armor we invested hundreds of hours building to our liking.
Work with us here Bungie and fix this terrible flaw in the current system.

317 RepliesWhen you say that you're getting "terrible armor" - does this mean you're getting low stat rolls, or elemental affinities that don't match the mods you wish to use? If this is a stat roll issue, what are the values you're currently seeing, and from what sources? Thanks!

Still wearing last season's gear. The new mods don't interest me at and have been doing fine without them.

I prefer the new system. You have more control over your perks and you’ll never have a perk active that doesn’t benefit you. Sounds like a worthy investment. Problem is it’s a difficult grind and often fruitless. I think one of the biggest problems, though, is that armour can be easily outdated with these seasonal exclusive mod slots. Bungie wants to support a player’s choice in long term investment but simultaneously forces redundancy with each new season. Frustrating.

I played a bit for the first week, looked at the mods and haven't played since. Honestly the universal mods that aren't tied to seasonal are much better and cost efficient. What's also stupid is the "new" Dawn armor sets will 9/10 times roll with absolutely garbage stat rolls in comparison to the previous season.

1 ReplyI just can’t understand why i have all these mods I’ve gotten but half of them don’t show on any armor or weapons. I’m using some old armor I’ve kept before Shadowkeep just because my mods won’t show up. Says I have them in collection though 😩
-
Tried a couple of things with the new mods and decided the universal mods are more useful on the whole and I'm not the sort to keep swapping pieces for 10secs less cool down time... also I'm still sore about losing oppressive darkness, crutch or not that made the game way more fun imo
-
Yes. Me too🤣 couldn’t be bothered

The current system is so close to being good yet miles away. I see no need to change my armour for this season the perks and bonuses just don't give me an incentive to use up my resources. Ohhh and to know they will be redundant next season ... no thank you

Um this season I’m using the mob boost for arc armour. I’ll get rid of 10 mob for 20 and then two more pieces I have 100 mob 100 rec for hunter and 100 mob 100 strength for titan! I just hope the mods count after this season finishes!

1 ReplyThe cost of new mods is also silly high for such average buff. The better ones with good pasives than cost 7 or more and than need also a matching element mod to activate. So without lv 10 armor its just a half complete useless build. On top of that u have laze copy pasted artefact mods from last season and they cost also extremly high. Horrible nightfall ordeal farm with booooooring champion system and "bungie selected" primary weapon mods.

Still using my original Reverie Dawn bond because it has the perks I want AND it's not limited by element. Get rid of the elemental restriction. That would be a good start.

3 RepliesEach armor piece should have one "special" mod slot for slotting mods from any season or other special type mod. How you look and how you function should be decoupled; completely. We should be grinding to earn ornaments each season not armor itself due to the insane level of RNG armor 2.0 is. Here's a tip Bungie: Invalidating a players time and effort is a very bad idea. You do want people to play your game right?
-
1 ReplyI haven't used one yet either. Unless there is a PVP breaking build, I'm fine with previous mods. Although that +20 mobility mod from Nessus may be in my future...
-
2 RepliesWHy get used to playing with mods that in less than 90 days will be gone. better off running without them, get used to your characters ability and play within it.
-
No the fact that the new seasonal mods can't be used on my existing set from last season makes them worthless to me I'm not regrinding a whole set of gear just for seasonal mods hell I have only masterwork my class item with this new system as it just doesn't seem worth it on any other gear
-
Use the pick up an orb and then get extra damage... not even sure it does much
-
I am with you..pointless what they have done with the last season armor.
-
I haven't bothered since nothing in the game really requires you to need to use them to have much impact on the gameplay
-
Haven’t touched any of the new armour from this season. The seasonal perks are gimmicky as hell and not really worth the trouble to get bonus damage on 2 enemies
-
I'm just using armor I already infused last season. not even bothering with seasonal mods this season unless I get something with really good stats cuz they will probably make all of the current armor incompatible with new mods again.
-
I stopped caring in year 1 when they added masterworks then added mod slots then changed this then changed that all so you can grind again and again. I’ll wear blues in a raid now idgaf. Had enhanced pretty much everything on my armor and now I have to have certain elemental armor to even use them. So I don’t even use mods or masterwork anymore except guns.

Still using the same helmet from before armor 2.0 because I haven't found one that's got better stats. AFTER THREE MONTHS! Yeah, this system is whacked.

15 RepliesEdited by Kouz_MC: 12/19/2019 4:34:32 AMI always find hilarious when the supposedly community managers at Bungie play the naive noobs who don’t understand what’s wrong. If that is really the case, they need to be FIRED immediately for severe incompetence. This season artifact is underwhelming. Nothing except the usual disruptor spike for divinity user makes sense using. Oppressive Darkness was great bc all classes could use it almost limitlessly. Titan’s grenades were returning instantly with kills, hunter would recover them fast when used in combination with the tether, and warlock’s would have it the same with contraverse hold. This season is about solar grenades?? Trash. No way to recover grenades fast, and no combo is worth using. Hence warlock’s are still using novalock in every activity, and rely simply on weapon mods to do the trick. Increase solar melee damage? Who cares when champions are a one shot already for Titan shoulder charge above 980, but still don’t one shot with it under 980. Void melees stagger unstoppable. Sure, we can’t get 10m close to these without being obliterated but hey, we’re going to go for the melee stagger. Good luck with LFG. Everything else is totally trash in the artifact, except void battery, so now hunters in PvP get another buff for their dodge? and warlocks using supernovanades get another shield? Right makes total sense huh? All bounties are for Bows, Sniper Rifles, Linear Fusion Rifles, Rocket Launchers. Do I need to add anything to that boring list to make it clear that even doing bounties has become depressing. The obelisks are totally useless. Making a build around their mods yield nothing, instead it brings down efficiency and versatility. They’re more constraining than anything else. I could go on for hours. Everyone is losing steam. That’s not to mention that there is no content. Week 2 we’re back to scarlet?? Really? So trash cyclotomic bounties to grind destinations will keep this season afloat? Nah, it’s sank in the nest.

3 RepliesEdited by ErraticHail2012: 12/19/2019 10:47:39 PMThey are really good compared to the Shadowkeep seasonal armor mods. 20% weapon damage by just getting an orb, high combatant resistance when shields break when charged with light ect. I dint even know why everyone is complaining.

Nope, not going to either.
