Hoping this actually goes to someone within Bungie who can provide a response!
So with the re-introduction of the Ward of Dawn for Titans, the Well of Radiance has lost some of its usefulness on the battlefield. I've been using the Well more than any super and have loved being the main support class for my fireteam. This being said it is still useful and part of a great combination when teamed up with Ward of Dawn. This is my own opinion but not the main point of this post.
My idea is...
With Ward of Dawn, Titans get the option of either placing down their bubble OR running around with the mobile shield. This makes them insanely versatile on the field and I love that fact. I was wondering if that kind of model could be introduced to the Well so that instead of being made to place the Well down, we could carry the sword and potentially use it to either kill enemies, or use it as a mobile individual heal potentially, while we run around instead of being locked in place.
Thanks for taking the time to read,
Havoc
Edit: I've edited this post due to some people missing the main point of this post. Hopefully this edit will help to convey my point better, which is the dual nature of Ward of Dawn and the idea of implamenting that with the Well of Radiance.

You have my support, supportlock! Keep rocking that Lumina and Phoenix protocol my friend!

I’d just love for a reworked self res to come back. It was annoying to go against in pvp but it wasn’t game breaking. Plus in pve, it can end up a great sub tree choice for newer players
-
This would basically put two of the best supers in one class, so it would basically be a no brainer to use this class all the time. And for that reason, I simply cannot agree.
-
Here's how I'd rework well Change title to sunsinger Melee grants a 50-70 hp overshield for the user and 50 hp overshield for teammates in a nearby radius. Grenade can be charged to grant the health and overshield it does now plus a 10% damage buff Buffing other teammates grants grenade and rift energy Super Sunsinger- 1 hit kill sticky grenades that recharge quickly, firebolts and solar grenades both grant burn damage and add a 25% debuff to the target Melee recharges quickly and 1 hit kills as well Sunsinger has an increase in damage resistance and allies are granted an increase in ability energy from sunsinger Other option for super Well- works the same as it is currently but requires you to hold the super button down similar to warden of dawn
-
Nah, that's basically dawnblade. Well of radiance and rifts in general would be so much better if they moved with you rather than just sitting in one place.
-
I made this comment the other day as well. For instance, have Well of Radiance proc when you hold the super buttons like Ward of Dawn does. Then have another super like the old D1 one where you can revive or throw continuous grenades.
-
Instead of being able to run around with a sword, just bring back self rez as the alternative to well. You can either save the super until you die and use self rez or pop it and use well of radiance.

Well of radiance RIP Sorry Bungie destroyed you 😢

Plop a Bubble on Well and its a GREAT combo. You get the damage bonus from Bubble but the great survivability from Well. The Well damage boost does not over ride Bubbles do you will still be doing the 35% more damage while still getting the Wells healing effect, and if things get too crazy you can back up into the bubble to prepare again.
-
3 RepliesWell of radiance is still great. You cant shoot out through the sentinel dome.
-
5 RepliesJust remove the nerfs on well so it could be useful again and not overshadowed by bubble.

3 RepliesEdited by Der Hauptmann: 12/8/2019 4:06:04 PMJust FYI Ward of Dawn was in game since launch, it wasnt re-introduced. Tho easy fix for Well of Radiance would be adding second option to super. --> RADIANCE <--- Ability to self revive and crazy boost to damage. Which would make them XXX% better than titan utility-wise again, because titan top tree roaming super SUCK. Sure its nice to have option, but i never had to use it. Anyway, people here are giving good options and ideas how to make Destiny better, but bungie still wont give a F, so we may just speculate on this.

Well of radiance is great!! It’s main niche is its healing power... it also buffs damage which is a fantastic bonus but you can shoot bosses stress free from dying to ads
-
As a warlock main, this is my least favourite subclass. I find it to be pretty mundane to play as. So having an alternate super similar to code of the defender (I think that is right) is a very interesting idea. Although not so much for a roaming damage dealing super. That’s their thing. I do like the radiance idea pitched earlier or something similar to that. In the mean time I try to utilize the finisher mods. Something to use up that super energy before the big fights.

Good! Let those Titans be forced to use their support class for a change. I'm personally happy with this.

4 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 12/8/2019 3:27:04 AM
Hold L2+R2 to engulf yourself with Radiant Energy, enhancing your abilities and reducing their cooldowns.

Radiance Radiance is a passive self-buff which means you can continue using your weapons as normal while under the effects of it. Radiance has a duration of 15 seconds and gives the user these effects: • 55% Damage Reduction • Grenades ignite enemies dealing DoT for 4s and applies a debuff called Viking Funeral causing them to take more damage from all sources • Empowering Strike deals triple the normal damage, Empowered allies receive an overshield • Benevolent Dawn is enhanced and grants the user in Radiance an overshield upon successful activation of the perk
Idea is to keep the nature Radiance had in Destiny 1 while giving it more support-like abilities that the subclass node provides in Destiny 2. Instead of just placing Well down and being done, you are instead a tanky, ability spamming support machine capable of dealing out your own punishments if necessary. Also with this Heart of the Praxic Fire could return, giving allies who stand near the Radiance Warlock reduced cooldowns with a modified Song of Flame Exotic perk.

6 RepliesNo, warlocks get no love.

Edited by whiskeychaser: 12/8/2019 11:36:55 PMThe well is healing you while allowing you to deal bonus damage at the same time. The bubble isn't as versatile. Plus that's what the top and bottom trees do.

2 RepliesWe hear you and were listening! Have you bought our cookbook yet?
-
Lol no, just because sentinel can do it doesn't Well has to be able to do it. Chaos reach is the only super that can turn it off when you're finished with it. Do you see ask anyone asking for that ability on hunter or titan? No. That's chaos reach special perk, just like how be able to switching from WOD is sentinel special perk.

7 RepliesI’m guessing you don’t do raids then...

1 ReplyStop being spoiled , you have enough!!!

2 RepliesEdited by Arnesbram: 12/8/2019 1:10:09 AMI mean.... you warlocks made titans close to useless nearly 2 years... You took all the D1 stuff from titans.. You guys get 25% more DPS plus a shield We get 35% more DPS with No shield.. So cant say i Well is fine where it is at now.
-
1 ReplyI can support the whole "being able to use both super types" fo sho. But please, Well isn't dead. It's still constant heals and near immunity to any damage that essentially isn't an instagib, something even my sweet sweet baby Ward can't do with a supplementary exotic. That is to say, the only time someone can get health regen from me is if I'm punching mobs. Temporary immunity giving way to a semi-decent overshield isn't exactly stronger than a Well at this point, the only bonus being that Weapons is the HIGHEST damage booster.

1 ReplyBungie: we will pass it on to the team. Can you make suggestions on how we can charge you for this change so it can take priority rather than put in the trash
-
4 RepliesAnd it should self-raise also. At any time.
