Thank you Bungie

Greetings. Just checked in on the help forum and wow what a load of negativity! So I thought I'd just take it another direction and say thanks for so many hours of great gameplay that I've lost count. I started out playing Bungie titles back when Marathon came out for Macintosh and bought an original xbox just to play Halo. I played every Halo title all the way through on Legendary and enjoyed every minute (except when I was contemplating throwing my controller through the TV). Well every Halo except Halo 5. I shall not speak of that. I've been playing Destiny since about a year after the Destiny 1 release. The game world is so detailed and amazing that I often just stop to admire the view. Thanks for putting such skill, imagination, and heart into this game. You made it fun, engaging and worth spending a few precious hours of life experiencing. I work in software so I know "crap" happens and things break when you least expect them too. I know it isn't sloppy work, negligence, or anything else nefarious. Just the realities human beings creating, supporting, and managing complex systems. So maybe I'll make it through the queue and play this evening and maybe I won't. Life will go on. You'll sort it out and everyone will be playing and complaining about nerfs and content again in no time. Hope all of you have a great weekend and get to enjoy your families this holiday season. Peace.

Criticism is NOT negativity! Using that term is nothing but trying to dismantle justified concerns and complaints. Classic "fanboy" argument. Bungies freakin Evangelist fanboys are one of the reason this game sucks. Thank you!

    • Exellent comment. I like to only add one thing. I do enjoy Vex Final offensive. All people cry, indeed it is very small addition to Vex Offensive formula, but i still enjoy this. Portal animation is great, music too. Small harpy attack cool. I will keep killing Undying Mind as many times as needed. Thanks Bungie <3

    • I can appreciate trying to stay positive, but the management needs to be looked at here. Stuff happens, agreed. However, questions need to be asked. Was this properly tested in a sandboxed environment? Once the problem was seen, why was there not a decision to roll back the changes and fix the issue in a sandboxed environment? Yes, stuff happens. But, it was handled very poorly. The problem here is, they forced so many people to do something else today, when they would have been playing the game. People play the game because they have so much invested and love the game. But, when you force people to do something else, some try new games they would normally not have tried, like Borderlands, etc. What you've done at this point, is push people to try your competitor's products. Now, I wonder what percentage of those people actually enjoy the new game they played all day and decide to stay with it. This was because somebody couldn't make the decision to just rollback. As someone that works in IT, if you should always create a snapshot, or restore point before making changes just for this kind of instance. If they didn't, well that comes back around to management again. While staying positive isn't necessarily a bad thing, we as consumers should always hold companies responsible for major failures and bad decision.

        • Amazing and i repeat amazing thinking you have there its really nice seeing somebody support a dev team and i know stuff happens in software programjng and stuff but when i bought shadowkeep and forsaken i wanted to play them but they were broken to the point that i played 31 hours and still cant finish the shadowkeep campaign due to crashing issues if it was a phone lets say i can contact whoever i got the phone from and get it replaced but getting a bunch of files replaced is called redownloading so when it comes to software and games it is really important to fix the issues in the game i bought shadowkeep on pc and was about to buy forsaken but go the issue i went back to play on console without being able to play shadowkeep the game update/dlc that i looked so forword to and bought got a crash error that affects me and alot of other ppl that has been going on for almost 2 months my season of the undying pass is only at 41 despite me playing at day one but its hard when you cant play the content you want and having a game that crahses every second i cant get a refund for shadowkeep no matter how much i want the refund so i can buy other games i cant get that refund since i pre ordered and trusted a source that i thought will allow me to make use of my full product on arrival so now do you get why there is negetivity? I try to be as positive as ever since i know when we speak of bungie we are speaking of talented ppl not the knights of the round table but im slowly starting to forget that destiny was a good game that worked hope you understand the cause of negetivity and support should always be given possitive we cant exactly complain to much since bungie left everyones sugar daddy that ends up taking your money when you die activision but we still expect a good product That is all have a wonderfull holiday season

        • What are you thanking them for? For all you know, this was easily preventable and they screwed up, and for all you know, they have barely been working to get it fixed today. Maybe most of the team left early for the weekend. Not sure I understand the impulse to bootlick here. Also, this Bungie did not create Marathon and Halo.

        • I do appreciate your positivity. Now, I can't vouch for anyone else, but I have limited opportunities to game anymore. When those opportunities are present, D2 is the game I want to play. Even with its shortcomings. It is, however, quite frustrating when I have a reasonable portion of time to spend and the game itself is not available. Especially now as there are time limits on some content in the form of seasonal stories. With that in mind and the monetary investments, one cannot help but feel cheated or wronged. Whether it be by Google, Bungie, Russian hackers, the Vex, or the Almighty. Even if this specific incident is not Bungie's fault, the paths chosen before have brought us invariably to this point. Regards, Bael

        • They have a right to be angry they had a long time to fix this and they didn't now the problem has gotten worse, instead of praising bungie like a fanatic criticise them for their bad actions. Criticism is needed here and that's what they get for not taking it serious.

        • Hey look at the bright side, at least this time the negativity is deserved. Usually forums are toxic even when the game is doing really well. Now that piss me off greatly.
