I know it’s being addressed, just adding that it also happened to me. Upon consuming the crystal, no quest progress occurs and the crystal is lost. Please just make the bounties or crystals buyable, or at the very least add the option to purchase normal black armory bounties like all the other vendors. This would make the grind for rare bounties much easier, because it’s just ridiculous as it stands. It took me a full 7 days to get a rare bounty and I’ve heard people say it’s taken them much longer. That type of grind is just out of place for a bounty.
