Bungie...every quest exotic you added this DLC is bad

I mean every heavy exotic you added this DLC has been frankly bad. I'd rather an exotic be OP at first and get dialed back then just have it never be exciting at all. (Except the raid one supposedly its good) The quest exotics should not start out terrible, it takes the desire to do the quests.

    • i hate to say it, but you're right. i [i]really[/i] want to defend deathbringer because its cool as hell, its fun to use, the lore and the quest kicks ass, but it really does underperform compared to other exotics.

      • All of the new quest exotics serve very specific purposes: - Eriana's Vow, Divinity, and Leviathan's Breath provide a way to deal with Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable Champions respectively - Deathbringer can provide lots of boss damage or clear mobs in open areas - Xenophage feels like it's designed for add clearing, like hordes of Thrall, but I haven't played with it much yet None of them are Gjallarhorn, but they don't need to be in order to be useful, and it's healthier for the game if they don't create something at that level intentionally.

          Are you only referring to 2 weapons? The non heavies (and deathbringer) seem to be pretty decent

          • I'd LOVE the bow IF it had more then 10 bolts! My try it in the Haunted Forest soon with a mask mod on to get all those glorious heavy drops.

          • I think bungie was too scared of making a really good exotic, so they made a bunch of average to below average exotics instead. Quite sad.

              You mean...the two? You say "every" as if we've had more than 2. I don't even count the bow...that wasn't even a quest honestly.

                It's seems to be becoming a trend. I feel they are now cautiously releasing exotics due to PvP, everytime something is remotely strong in PvP it gets nerfed. While it feels pretty balanced currently it also feels dull. It's a PvE focussed shooter and while I agree the odd outlier weapon here and there gets knocked down slighty, shadow keep seems to be a step backwards from a loot perspective to me. Maybe I've been spoilt by Borderlands 3 recently.

              • Bow not that bad and has intrinsic unstoppable mod useful in nightmare hunts and ordeal Rocket launcher is meh not bad but much better options Machine gun is kinda lame
