Crucible rank up drops only 750

Why do our rewards for ranking up in crucible or gambit only drop at 750 and not at 950 (my power level)???

They drop at 946-950 for me.

I believe you are getting the ranks of season drops at 750. At least for me the two guns and gear that has a chance to drop, drop at 750. Kind of like how eververse gear would drop at 10 light.
