Without the ability to apply Barrier, Overload, or Unstoppable Rounds to other Exotics they are unnecessarily pushed aside for Legendary weapons that can. Maybe the answer is applying a new special Champion counter to every Exotic or even some that are chosen to have this feature, e.g., Hard Light gets Barrier rounds while Borealis gets Overload and Thorn gets Unstoppable, etc. I just think Bungie is missing an opportunity here to expand this new modification to other Exotics and by not doing that they are relegating them to non-endgame activities. Also, having the ability to apply this modification separate from the normal weapon mod would also be a great addition for legendary weapons. You want to continue running your Backup Mag mod and add Overload rounds on that awesome Hazard of the Cast? This change could make it possible.
