What's the deal with these Voltaic Motes within the Raid?
So, I was wondering. What is the deal with those motes? Especially the tainted motes within the final boss encounter. What exactly ARE these things? I would assume the Voltaic motes are something akin to motes of darkness but what about the tainted ones? The hell is with those?

Also heard an interesting quote in the beginning of a Prime match once, how his ships AI is part Vex Mind. (He doesn't discriminate and neither should we apparently, lol) Coincidence?

My guess is: Remember the orbs of light during the solstice of heroes being arc, void, or solar. Almost the same thing but darkness instead.

Voltaic: relating to electricity produced by chemical action in a battery; galvanic. So... Perhaps the Sol divisive managed to turn Darkness and light into a battery?

The Motes in Gambit are dark energies that the Drifter is having us Harvest. The Vex are doing the same thing, even attempting to convert them into something else.

Motes of Darkness which The Vex have futzed with. Thats my guess.
