IRON BANNER PURSUIT IS TRASH

2 RepliesI would rather they had put in a simple 24-48 hour lockout on turning packages in, than this stupid quest designed only to slow you down and make people angry by forcing weapon types. Imagine if they made you complete the raid 50 times while getting kills using certain weapon types before being able to use your coins on Benedict or Werner. Not as a challenge, but just a delaying tactic. Someone at Bungie doesn’t like the token hoarders and punished everyone as a result, likely impacting the target players the least. Who is it going to take forever to get through that quest? New people and people not so great at PvP that may only play PvP for Iron Banner. Who likely has thousands of IB tokens stored up, that someone at Bungie hates? People in PvP all the time who are more likely to have experience with those weapons and less trouble finishing those tasks. The problem is that the quest was clearly aimed at the hoarders, but is missing them almost completely and hitting/hurting instead the new players and more casual PvP-ers.

Took me 3.5 hours max to finish the whole quest and I haven't played IB since Y1. The quest is fine, though it shouldn't block people from using tokens. That's my only complaint about it.

2 RepliesThe quest itself is not difficult at all. The map rotation certainly isn’t ideal at all, in my opinion. It’s essentially PvP endgame quest to acquire pinnacle tier rewards to boost people that don’t raid above 950. It’s also a way to acquire enhanced mods.

Trying new things is fun. I learned fusion rifles are really good in PvP. I learned how to prefire.

I completed the quest yesterday and found that it was rather easy. The weapons that we are forced to use are all strong meta. Pulse, Fusion, SMG, GL. It was 2 games at most to get the required weapon kills and the progress for capping points and defeating guardians was cumulative. This was a very good thing introduced by Bungie. Cumulative scoring respects my time in game. What I didn’t like was that there are only 3 maps in the rotation. Why only 3 maps?

7 RepliesDude, I am literally THE worst ever PVP player and even I managed to do this shit today! Honestly, it's not that bad! Everybody is running round trying to do the quest too so it's easy picking kills.

Lol, seriously had to use 3 guns for a total of 70 kills. If you thought that was hard,man you would of hated last seasons.

Maybe you would prefer to pick flowerss? This is the easiest IB in a long time. It's like 10 or 15 kills each.
