Polaris Lance catalyst is bugged or something.
Rarely does a "perfect fifth" even count. Doesn't help that the rifle doesn't one tap anything.

Yep, as it was mentioned above - you need to burn them with the passive, it's sometimes annoying to do so, but alas - not impossible.

If your trying to complete catalyst u need to get kills with the burn damage. Doing Levi opening encounter solo is a fast way to get it done, endless cabal spawns.
