When I tried cross saving Destiny created an entirely new steam account
In more detail, when I cross saved all my PS4 data to my steam account it auto filled my Playstation perfectly fine, so far so good. But when I did the same with the steam account portion it auto filled information I use for a different website and instead of telling me that the steam account didn't exist or prompting me in any way to create a new account it went through just fine as if I had signed into my actual account. Now I'm locked out of all my progression on PS4 now that I play on steam.
TL;DR Destiny created a new steam account so I can't use my real one.

3 RepliesThe Authentication system used Steam's own Authentication system. Bungie did not create a new Steam account for you. You can go to your Bungie.net Settings then to Accounts & Linking in order to unlink the Steam account you don't wish to use and then link the Steam account you wish to use, then you can enable Cross-Save.
