Raid weapons and armor are the main reasons for the raid themselves but not everyone can do the raid. It is a shame that people like solo players pay for content but can access all the DLC Rewards (like raid loot). Am not saying that raid loot should have a wide distribution around the solar system but maybe DLC owner who don't raid should at least 1 Raid loot weekly or alternatively with the new battle pass system, throw some raid loot in there. This would mean that players who raid can get handsome rewards like curated and random rolls, Emblems ,Shaders, etc While other players get 1 random rolled raid weapons weekly. Take in to consideration that raiders get like 3-5 pieces of raid loot depending on the raid not to mention random rolls can result in bad loot .Raiders and non-raider will receive the 1 weekly loot.
Don't know how the community will feel about this soooooo. Any opinions?

5 RepliesHuh? Absolutely not. You pay for a social game as a solo player that is your decision.

Bungie did this in yr 1 of D2. It didnt go over well with the najority of the community. Bungie has brought back enough of yr1, not this too

Edited by PalingenesisII: 10/12/2019 5:59:24 AMwell the point is moot, every single player can relatively easily get raid loot from every raid simply using in game exploits to access chest drops, without playing the encounter. but from a design standpoint, no. partly why i wish they would go back to d1, the boss itself dropping gear and specific chests with particular pools. anyone remember farming templar hard mode? or crota for black hammer?

Edited by Terezi__Pyrope__: 10/12/2019 6:27:52 AMNo. It's a Raid weapon, if you can obtain it outside of the raid then the raid is useless, i understand that playing solo is hard, i was a solo player until some months ago, but i don't think that having raid weapons outside of the raid would be a good idea, but they should have more weapons that you can obtain outside of the raid on the next seasons.

Nah. Dumb idea.

2 RepliesEdited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 10/11/2019 11:38:32 PMIt shouldn’t be given away. Bungie LOVES the rigid system of making everything so meticulously activity specific so I wouldn’t expect them to offer outside of doing the raid. However, what I think they should do is balance the amount of rewards based on challenge/time investment. Raids as they are now grant a reward for each encounter. Leave that as is, but provide an additional, optional version that has matchmaking and is more like The Menagerie/Vex Offensive, and that grants only ONE reward for completion per week. They could even make it so that if you do the simpler version first for the week, you get no rewards for doing the harder version for all I care. I just want it to be fun. Raids are extremely NOT fun to me. I also just want consistency. The entire story and the other like 99% of the game can be played solo or with matchmaking but then the pinnacle activity for a story arc or season is almost the polar opposite of that. Makes no sense. The game tries to be too many vastly different genres. It’s rigid and impractical. Cue the “iF YOu wANt tHE THinG dO ThE aCTIviTy” responses. It must be sad having the fun of your experience for a game dictated by what other players have and how they get it.

No. Raid loot is a huge reason why people raid. They already gave freebie raid rewards in the beginning of D2, if you were in a clan.
-
Do the raid then...
-
No. I’m a solo player and think raid stuff should be left to raiders. I do however think there should be more solo-friendly content that gives decent loot and not just run of the mill bs. I did the wendigo joint, oxygen, breakneck etc...none of those pinnacle weapons come close to say a recluse or the new pulse from the raid.
-
If someone doesn't play X activity, it is perfectly reasonable that they don't get items tied to X activity. Exclusivity of items tied to the raid encourages participation.
-
No It’s as simple as that No pain no gain
-
Absolutely not. The only person holding you back from raiding is you. Solo players don't have a different LFG option than groups of two or more.
-
No. It's raid gear, the entire reason we do raids, no.

Edited by PropaneAccessories (Adept): 10/12/2019 12:22:56 AMBungie already gave free raid loot before your late

4 RepliesYou can get Last Wish gear by putting in the wish to teleport you to Shuro Chi, then backtracking to the extra Chest on the bridge (well, beneath it really). That can grant any weapon thats not 1k voices, armour and has a small chance of dropping a Taken Mod as well. Taken Armaments if you're lucky. If you can learn the sword flying, grenade-holding warlock cheese to get across the chasm, you can also backtrack from Morgeth for that chest too. You can also grab one, maybe 2 chests from Eater of Worlds solo, and I saw a Bakengangsta video titled something about getting to two Garden of Salvation chests solo (not sure if that was a joke or not, didnt watch it). Real talk though, if you want Raid Gear that badly, go Raid.
-
Nah ! I haven’t completed any year 2 raids so I don’t get the weapons and I’m fine with that . That destiny a multi activity based game, plenty to do and other weapons to chase. I will push to do the new raid though!
-
We had that in season 1 (year 1) for raid and trials of the nine gear. I think it was just weapons.

They are available to u
-
8 RepliesYeah, if PvE players want to make getting pinnacles the easiest thing in the world, give me the raid weapons
-
8 RepliesHorrible idea, imo. It's like saying, here's the Recluse, you weren't able to actually play Comp and earn it, but you paid for the game, so here you go. Want the raid armor or weapons? Then buck up, make a raid team, and tackle the challenge. Participation trophies have really negatively impacted the past few generations. The real world has very few rewards for no effort. And I hope we as a civilization can get back to rewarding effort and achievement, over just paying the entry fee.
-
As a soloist and current non-raider I'm going to say no. Why do we need that gear if we're not doing the raid?
-
2 RepliesNo. You shouldn't get to access the rewards for content without having to play that content. That's like asking to get the Black Armory Forge weapons from playing Strikes.
