The hand cannon range nerf was meant for pc. NOT CONSOLE.

I think this is because of the insane recoil difference between pc and console. Hand cannons are still decent on pc! But on console- you made them even worse than what they were. (Primarily 110,40,50). Dont get me wrong the animation change was great. Its one of those take a step forward 2 steps back sorta thing. A hand cannon can no longer compete with a pulse rifle even at erentil range. The dropoff is insane. Especially with the introduction of widows court. Solution: decrease the range dropoff. Edit: I also believe that bungie should stop making balances based on both platforms. It doesn't work. Each plays wayy differently.

  • They didn't actually nerf handcannons. They made the damage falloff more severe. So instead of a gradual falloff at 30 meters from 45 to 42 to 38 or whatever the values might be, it goes from 45 to like 15. It just feels like a nerf because you're doing damage then suddenly you're not.
