Can't wait until next DLC, when they make all of this irrelevant... again... and again........ and....... again.

Doubt it will change for the rest of year 3. Destiny 3, though... I'm predicting the game will open in deep space. Our Guardian and Ghost are on a search and rescue mission tracking a distress signal when suddenly... we encounter a fleet of big black Dorito ships! Our own ship - which will have guns that fire in the cutscene but never again - will be damaged and crash land on an alien planet. We escape the wreckage in the nick of time before it explodes... taking all our gear with it and leaving us with badly damaged armour and a sidearm. Only by exploring this strange world - which will look a lot like Venus/Nessus with purple plant life - will we be able to find the materials needed to level up. Our first stop... that spaceship graveyard in the distance, to make contact with the sole surviving alien crew member, who will give us tasks and missions in return for loot... I tell ya, this sh*t practically writes itself.

What from the last dlc has been made irrelevant?

Edited by mikes5673: 10/2/2019 5:05:07 PMPretty much all the armour. The new mod system can only be applied to armour earned from this week on. It'll still work and still look good, but that's not what you're going to want to spend materials on levelling up.
-
But its not irrelevant though My armor still functions the same as it did last week. Is it as good as the new gear? No But it is still fully functional
-
I believe I said that. Still burned all mine apart from Solstice and a full set of Crucible gear from cashing in tokens. Currently levelling up with blue armour atm anyway.

Being able to still function doesn't make something relevant. The armor is irrelevant for all of the new armor systems Bungie put into the game. Any future endeavors to improve already existing armor (besides LL) is, in fact, irrelevant. Incompatible would be another word. Is it non-functional? No. Just as cars from the 1970s aren't non-functional. However, they would be considered irrelevant to the current car industry. So too is past armor irrelevant to the current armor progression of D2.

Enough people quit buying this crap then there won’t be anymore DLCs
