Hi.
I'm living in a place where I really cannot afford to redownload an entire 80ish Gigabytes of data for Destiny 2, most of which I've already downloaded on Battle.net. Is there any way I could make steam recognize the chunk of the data that I've received through Battle.net already?

5 RepliesHello Jetstream. There is no way to do this. Cozmo noted on Twitter that you will need to download the game from Steam. You cannot use the Battle.net version of the game to save time in downloading the game. (If you download from Steam make sure to put the game files in a different directory. The default Steam directory should be fine for this.) From Cozmo’s Twitter:
You need to do a fresh download from Steam. You cannot just move files over from a previous install. Your safe to pre-load on Steam now and it wont affect your current install. Just choose a different directory and don't copy over anything.
Considering that Steam and Battle.net are different platforms I don't believe there is any way to do this.
