How do Hydras have a stomp mechanic?

23 RepliesThey uses electromagnetic energy charged up in a series of super high capacitor then releasing it sequentially in order back to back following each pulse in ultra high frequency resulted in creating a very very quick low wavelength micro shockwave with a subsonic effect that only have a close rage area of effective impact less than 5 metres.

Honestly it makes more sense than most of the enemies that have legs doing a stomp. They make a weird noise, little white rings flash around them, then you’re booped. Doesnt even say stomp. This makes more sense than the weird slow stomp that Minotaurs and knights do. Ones that have justifiable melee animations: - Hydras - Sevitors - Archons (The fanatic) - knights that punch the ground - Somewhat ogres The rest are just weird...

More of a pulse mechanic. They are hovering SOMEHOW. Maybe some sort of gas. From I think is that they increase the gas and pretty much fart you into oblivion.

I'd say their "stomp" mechanic is more of a "pulse" mechanic. I always took it as they somehow used like air or something like that from within to pulse out when "stomping".

I agree....I think the Stomp mechanic on these mob types are stupid. They have an impenetrable rotating shield for crying out loud!! Sometimes getting up close and personal is the best way around that thing! I think getting that close to one, within it's shield, should be worth the risk in itself! They should NOT be able to just "stomp" you right back out. That's just bad design.

While Vex positioned as superpuper mind who analyses and simulates stuff to become more effective, on practice they are so dumb...Why all footsoldiers have legs? Legs are uneffective. Why they dont have 360 degree sight but only like 90? Im not even talking about critspot. So if you evaluate effectivness of vex battle platforms you will come to a conclussion that its the most dumbiest life form in destiny universe.

I think the same thing when the tank in the Arms Dealer strike does it to me or my teammates. It’s the most overused annoyance in the game IMO.
