Stop calling D2 "free to play".
Its not free to play. Forsaken is still $20 and Dattokeep is $40.
Warframe is 100% free to play, D2 is not.
When talking about how bad Bungie needs Eververse to pay for production costs, stop implying that its because they've adopted a f2p business model. Because they haven't.

1 ReplyWarframe is free to play if you want to underperform in any end game or higher difficulty activity, let alone want any rare war frames or weapons. $40 is basically free, you’ll spend more money a year on fortnite and warframe, unless of course you don’t spend any money because you have no desire for being competitive in fortnite or because you like spending countless hours making no significant progress in waframe. There is no such thing as free to play, if anything was truly “free to play” it would cease to exist a few weeks or maybe even days in. They make money by either forcing you or heavily enticing you to make micro transactions. Those who don’t do these things are usually the players that don’t stick around long or are sub-mediocre players. Destiny 2 will be free to play, but by the same definition, you will need to pay $40 (which is less than you would pay for a years worth of play time for any other “free to play” game) to be successful in end game activities or higher difficulty activities. Games need to make money, otherwise as stated before they will cease to exist. Also don’t bother to torture me with warframe fun facts or your experience with it being free. I don’t care, my point is no less valid. Sorry for my poor paragraph structure, I didn’t bother to make it mla format and didn’t pair common details. My source will be located in the spoiler. 4 RepliesWell it technically can be classified since of base game is going to be free. They never said the dlcs from year 2 and beyond will be free. For example Dc universe is a free to play old but still free to play you have to pay for dlcs. So technically in this case destiny will be free to play because the games base content will be free to access by everyone except extra content such as dlcs. Warframe has the funds to blow to do that. Bungie isn’t that big

6 RepliesYou eventually get to a point in Warframe where you have to spend Platinum to keep going. You get what, 2 Warframe and 5 weapon slots to start? Then most of the best weapons are locked behind Mastery Ranks, so If you aren't constantly leveling up Warframes and weapons, you cant earn Mastery Ranks. You can get free Platinum sometimes, but you can't use it to trade, and that's how you're going to get most of your Primes. Eventually, you will spend some money in Warframe, or you will be bored as hell, and that's about the same as D2.

Its more like free trial. Full access to y1 content. So thats 3 seasons. You wont have the exotics released after season 3. Except maybe arbalest and thunderlord, i believe those were free to all. You will be able to patrol at tangled shore but i don't understand how are you gonna patrol at dreaming city. That required a Forsaken storyline to unlock. Now its gonna be open to all? That makes no sense, and makes me feel like i wasted time with that quest by doing 3 -blam!-ing times.

8 RepliesTechnically, FTP players will be able to play the first mission of Shadowkeep and have access to the Moon destination (as well as Tangled Shore for Forsaken). Oh, and the new season pass has a free track so that FTP players still have a reason to play. But that’s none of my business, mentioning important details.
