After all these months of heavy grinding I still cannot obtain the guns mountaintop and recluse with teams or without, it doesn’t seem to matter. In the end I paid you money to enjoy the game and all I really get is pure frustration and aggravation. Quests should be obtainable for all no matter what the skill level is, put enough time and money into your game and be rewarded for that investment.
Just completely burnt out on this current matchup system...

Get good and stop whining

You're right! I should be allowed to be an astronaut just because the job is available not because I worked hard to be one.

p v p tips : generly... you must aim for the "noggin"

Average Joe player here Best way I found playing solo is at the start of the season until you get it just play 3 matches per week (play extra if on a streak ,once streak ends. Stop) The bonus points for playing comp per reset will add up eventually. Hope this helps for future

Literally two guns that you don’t need get over it

Sure, you paid for the game, but that doesn’t mean things should be handed out to you for free just because you sink time into it when that time isn’t spent actually reaching the points needed for things. If someone pays for the most expensive version of dark souls, and then goes ahead and spends literally hours just fighting the first enemy in the game unsuccessfully, what should happen? They’ve sunk time and money into the game, so by your logic they should be rewarded with something, so should they be thrown ahead in the game and be given loads of rewards from other parts of the game? Or, should they instead have to get better at the game from that point and progress by themselves rather than being handed things, since that is what they signed up for? Your frustration is irrelevant. If you’re not able to complete a quest, Bungie shouldn’t have to alter the quest and hand out a gun because you are getting frustrated at an activity you are choosing to play.

You paid for the quest, wether you do them or not isn't bungies problem, you can't get loot if you don't earn it

I've postulated this on different posts and what you get are replies from the very same premade sweaty's who police competitive and IB putting down anyone who might want to take a dip in the pvp pool. Replies like: 1. Just learn to play 2. Join one of the many millions of clans which will stop what they do and grind with you 3. - insert inane reply here - My favorite 4. It's so easy to do Answer: It's late in the game, the people who got them did so. Most clans do this for the competitive grind until the in group has them. When the filler members inquire they usually ignore them.

1 ReplyI don't think the problem is the quest itself but the damn matchmaking is as lazy as me, you want the recluse? Well how about playing with 2 useless teammates against 4 recluse and revokator...
-
Have u joined a clan yet ? Alot of the time clans have groups that can help u alot and what system do u play on ?
-
1 ReplyAt least you get a quest that you can complete by getting better. Try going for a curated twilight oath or a full choke quickdraw retold tale. A max range spare rations. Mindbenders Ambition. The supremacy. You can’t, It is all luck. At least recluse has skill involved.

This was the mentality that brought about vanilla D2 and that was the worst state this franchise has been in. When you can have everything effortlessly, you suddenly realize that you don't really want it.
-
the door is behind you , d2 vanilla used it you can too
-
Nope, you can’t have one.. 🤣

3 RepliesYeah, let's make everything so easy to obtain in this game already. It's not like this game isn't already watered-down because of cry babies like you. People like you are the reason why this game is too easy and why there are so many account recoveries/paid carries on the fireteam tab.

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 8/27/2019 7:49:19 PMI dont agree. Not every gun should be obtainable for everyone. If these were easy to get, they would not mean the same. The guns are good because they are hard to get. Are you going at it solo? Do you want PVP tips? I believe that I will never earn Not Forgotten. The journey is too long and i dont have the skill, nor do i have the desire to try and get that good. I'm old and i dont think i can get there. I'm fine with it, now i help others get to Fabled in comp for fun.
-
Just play 3 games a week. Have some patience. You'll get to fable. Just knock out the other requirements along the way in quickplay or iron banner. Again, have some patience. Only 3 games and wait till the reset.

I literally got Recluse in one day (Today). Did it take non stop competitive during my free hours? Yes. Was it worth it? Buyers remorse is an applicable feeling here. How is this all possible? Willpower and the need to succeed.

Edited by Dim: 8/28/2019 4:52:06 AMIf you play 3 comp games a week, and only manage to win 1, that single win combined with your bonus "participation" glory will be enough to get to fabled before the end of a season. I don't see the problem since the match making system tries to balance everyones' W/L ratio at 50%. You only need to win 33% of the 3 games you play. If you play 3 games a week, then statistically, it is impossible to not get to Fabled.

3 RepliesI can understand the frustration. But as others have stated they are pinnacle weapons rewarded for hard work and skill. They are supposed to be out of reach to some. And they aren't actually as busted as people make them out to be. If someone outplays you with one you would've probably been outplayed regardless.
-
1 ReplyIt takes a lot of patience and dedication to get these weapons. I would suggest to take breaks if you aren't doing good so your competitive score doesn't minimize. Don't burn yourself out either because that can lead to not returning to get these weapons. Soon the Mountaintop quest will get changed and maybe that might be easier for you. I would suggest to get these weapons on your own, use meta weapons if you need to. Trust me the more you play your reaction time will improve and be a better PvP player. Just throwing some positive motivation your way! Good Luck!

16 RepliesHave u tried gitting gud?

Edited by Divine_Majin93: 8/27/2019 9:24:08 PMAs someone who has all the PvP pinnacles except for Not Forgotten (I'm not that much of a tryhard), I'd love to see the quests be reworked to just require Glory earned like Revoker. Whoever cares about who has a silly virtual gun is just part of what is holding Destiny back. Grinding rank is just silly. Edit: spell check
-
1 ReplyI don't mind having to reach fabled. It really wasn't that bad since they adjusted the scoring, I solo queued the whole way. What I can't stand are the requirements for Mountaintop. This has been my worst Destiny experience ever. I'm almost done with it, but I pity anyone just starting.
-
Edited by Ben_Is_Orion: 8/28/2019 3:05:26 PMYou paid for the challenge to get the weapon, not the weapon itself.
-
2 RepliesI'm confused.....do you not understand what the word "competitive" means? You either earn it or you don't get to use the gun. Deal with it.
