Been doing this stuff every hour I’m not at work since the event started and I’m in a panic that I’m not going to finish it tonight after sinking this much of my life in. Just extend it already, you already postponed shadowkeep. Jesus.

It lasted a whole month! If you want the armor then work for it! If you want to be handed stuff then play a different game, because that’s not what destiny is or should ever be!
-
I played casually 1-2 hours a day and got it no problem i’m busy as -blam!- in the summer and did it. Stop complaining they gave more than enough time

Edited by Disciple4Christ4: 8/27/2019 10:33:05 PMDude. It takes a total of 20 hours to get all three characters. If you spent that much time and didn't get it that's your fault You had a MONTH
-
1 ReplyI think it wasn’t meant to be done on 3 characters tbh. I think Bungie mostly just wanted everyone to grind 1-2 characters and be done with it. With the sparrow if you had the extra time on your hands. But I think FOMO got to everyone tbh. I casually did one set and was happy. Doing any more than that is overkill and I think it was mostly for the people who don’t have anything else to do.

The main issue I see with them extending an activity is that others will want it extended further. Follow that with others wanting it extended beyond that. Etc, etc, etc... They have to draw the line somewhere. Glad to see you got your sets completed though, I know it must've been pretty tight towards the end. I completed my Warlock set and picked up the Helmet on my Titan. Never bothered with the Hunter. I had ample time to do all three, simply lacked any desire after the first set was done. :) There are plenty of activities they have put in the game that I have had to miss over the past 5 years. I travel for 5 months out of the year and have to skip quite a few things. I'm used to it though so I don't get twisted when I get home and see that I have two days left for SRL and haven't run a single race or a couple days left for a Faction Rally and haven't even had the opportunity to visit with the leaders.

How? I helped my friend do his and we got it done in less than three days. No idea how people are struggling with this after an entire month

2 RepliesEdited by Mike TheGameR: 8/28/2019 1:35:45 PMI dont understand how people cant do this, even before bungie lowered the miniboss kills and added boss as kills too this event had time enough to be completed by everyone. I work aswell and i was doing some 12h shifts, finished all 3 easy. There was days that i didnt even turned on my ps4 ffs.

agreed and it wasn't fun just boring repetition
-
i kinda played as normal but i did make an effort to do nexus public events, make orbs, etc. i never finished the green set. it's too much of stuff i don't find fun and most of destiny is not my thing at the moment.
-
It’s not, I work and have kids. Most of the time I can play when the kids are sleeping and at most I have 4 hours of play time. Managed to get all 3 characters the purple gear. As for master working it well that’s something I will not be able to do due to the requirements. It just takes some planning on how to do activities that help get points for multiple pieces of gear.
-
It's a completely optional event that can earn you a decent-looking shirt at best and lasted 4 weeks. That's 28 days and 672 hours. Job or not, that is PLENTY of time. Sure, the armor will be armor 2.0 compatible in Shadowkeep but you'll most likely get a full one shortly after the campaign anyways. Just don't lose your mind over it.

I have a job 4 days of the week, high school for 5, and I'm taking 3 college courses online at the moment. I don't get your point? I very casually grinded out just my warlock and got it done in just a little over a week. How'd it take you that long if you put so much time in?
-
1 ReplyI did all 3 characters with a very busy life. Actually not proud I did. It was a stupid waste of time
-
4 RepliesJust checked your account and I see 3 majestic sets. Looks like you got it done in time. Congrats, and relax now guardian.
-
5 Replies
Been doing this stuff every hour I’m not at work since the event started
Absolute BS. Four weeks for all three classes is doable with a lot of play time and only doing one class is plenty of time for even the most casual player. If you played "every hour I'm not at work" as you claim, there is no reason whatsoever that you couldn't complete at least one set as long as you were playing to the objectives. Sorry, but that's a fact.
-
Did it with a job and internship with a day off a week. Lrn 2 longterm plan
-
While it was grindy, we had a month and it doesnt take as long as you're trying to exaggerate. Sounds like you didnt play as much as you trying to say you did, and/or you didnt do what you needed to, to get the gear done. Either way, it was on you, not the game.
-
I did all 3 and it sucked. Kind of wishing I didn’t do hunter cuz it’s awful looking, but it’s all a free extension into next season so that’s cool.
-
5 RepliesI tapped out after levelling my green helmet. Thats two hours of my life I will never get back.
-
I just didn’t do it lol
-
Yep. They should have extended Solstice with the triumphs. It would have been nice.
-
Yeah it needs to get extended for one more week. It’s crap that Bungie didn’t extend it with everything else.
-
Yeah i got my Titan to the legendary set and masterworked the mark for the triumph, but then gave up on trying to do the other characters, it's just too much and a bit repetitive for a limited time event. Instead i finished Wayfarer and did most of the Cursebreaker titles (just need a few more eggs now). Also went back to Mass Effect and got halfway through that now, game is so addictive at the moment even with all the bugs.
-
Working a 10-hour job five times a full week, I’ve had no issue whatsoever with getting all my chars finished and even grinding out the dust on the side for the glows. All you have to do is put in an hour every chance you have a break and knock it out little by little. If an absolute casul like me can make it work around my own schedule, there’s no excuse why anyone else couldn’t, unless they were actually physically unable to play or worked multiple jobs, having to juggle them.
-
Hunter- Done Warlock- Done Titan- Done It really wasn't bad after they reduced the mini-boss amount. The worst is.......Gambit. Sparrow is now on shelf collecting dust.

2 RepliesIf you want to finish all three characters: Yes. It is a BIT grindy. If you just want to finish one character: No. There was enough time. If you play smart you shouldn’t take more than a week per character.
