Trials of the nine weapons
Hello everyone! I’m sure all of you have read Luke Smith’s ‘short’ essay (probs to that guy, awesome idea), especially the third part about pvp. As we already knew trials of the nine is never coming back, but what about the guns associated with them? I am a pretty (little bit above) average pvp player and acquired some of these guns back in year 1 (darkest before, the end, etc.).
I’m sure most of you on here have the same feeling like I do, these guns should return in some way or form. For example, make a new event in the crucible which could take place alongside iron banner, have the emmisary pop up and let us earn trails of the nine tokens and turn them in to receive those guns.
A lot of these weapons looked so awesome and they deserve to be brought back in any shape or form? Let’s bring this to the attention of the devs!

2 RepliesI dont understand why "Trials" of the Nine was limited to pvp in the first place. Trials indicates difficulty. I spoke with another user about this subject that a pve mutiplayer portal could be created like EP or Menagerie to accommodate those that still want to collect without the burden of evidently a broken pvp mode. The subject was discussed as being NOT what trials was about, however i still feel like the point is difficulty, not just pvp competition. Sooo... Idk?🤔

I have a bunch of trials weapons in collections from when clan engrams would drop Them. Can you get the armor from collections? I guess I never really earned it.

I have most of those weapons even though I hardly played trials of the 9. Our clan had a weekly team that did it and we got the clan rewards. My fav was the "Purpose" scout. I will try it out again when new dlc drops and it gets boosted to 750 light.

Motion to suppress hasn’t left my side since I got it last August, no mods or not it still feels good in PvE and PvP. It’s my beauty.

4 RepliesI use the Trials armor still to this day, and just really hope they include them in this new armor/mod 2.0 system... most likely by pulling the armor from collections.

It would be interesting if they moved the Gambit Prime weapons and armor to synthesized mote drops while not using a mote could give you the old Trials of the Nine stuff with random rolls, especially since it looks like Trails of the Nine is gone permanently and it'll be Trials of something else. Would be like slotting runes in the Chalice, only combining motes of different types for weapons and staying the same for the Prime armor.

With random rolls. Seems like a nice easy way to add weapons into the crucible pool. I still use the HC. The judgement. The gun arent my favorite but they have unique designs. Good idea guardian seems like an easy way to give players more

Edited by Erijian: 8/17/2019 12:14:52 PMThe weapons have a form of prestige to them so I'd prefer it if they stayed exclusive. They all have double perks and aren't "invalid" like other Y1 weapons aside from lacking a mod slot. There are a few I use to this day (All three "Motion" weapons, Purpose and The Long Walk) and I love being asked where I obtained them by newer players.

The weapons/gear would be random rolled and you can only complete one bounty per weapon type a week. Give him a bit more use in the game, since [i]Trials[/i] are unlikely coming back and he’s a supposed Emissary of the Nine I only managed to get the [i]Judgment[/i] hand cannon because Trials was a steaming shitpile. So would love the opportunity to obtain the weapons again. I loved the design of them.

I would just love if they updated them to year two and let us pull from collections. I loved my prosecutor, but now it's just meh.
