So there's some footage of Bungie employees mucking around in Crucible in the new expansion and their power level reads 900. They will give every noob who starts playing after the exp hits an easy quest to get them to 750 because "the endgame is the game", making a mockery of the hours of grinding the rest of us have done, but then have another stupid grind to 900? What does light level even do except exclude people from activities and piss people off in IB? What is it going to do except create the same problems the game currently has for future new players?
PLEASE DON'T DO IT BUNGIE

This has been the case with every single expansion ever released for Destiny

1 ReplyI took more than 9 months off and got to 750 with very little work. Right now is the easiest leveling in Destiny ever.... I'm not sure where they are going but leveling is pointless for the most part. It's just a requirement or cut off for IB and the RAID. They said that you would be raid ready right way unless I missed something.

In fall expansions like this they always also raise the soft cap. You’ll do a campaign that will probably get you to 800-850 and then have to grind the rest
-
Hopefully we get a soft cap increase. Imagine being excited to wear a blue again!

Wow. Welcome to Destiny. It’s all about the grind to higher light. If it wasn’t for light increase people who don’t play pvp would be bored in a week after launch.

2 RepliesThis is how it is done in every expansion. If you had to play through every quest line to get to the new content then nobody would do it.

And they’ll probably expect you to grind to 950 once the season after Shadowkeep starts. They might even increase the level cap arbitrarily just so you can’t earn eververse engrams while you’re working on completing the story missions.

right . light lvl means very little anymore.
