Is it just me or does the creative team put more thought into making more unique sparrows and ghost shells than actual armor?

Ok now that we’re through with the pictures.
I’m going to ask why is so much effort put into designing cosmetic items that go into a cash shop?(yes is do understand that it’s still earned with bright dust but it’s still cosmetic items!!!!!)
Bungie please, it would send me to the moon and back(perhaps a few other players as well) to really make your armor sets stand out more.
I think Another result of the armor looking like this would be the creative choice as well.
Destiny 1 armor had more of a sci-fi feel that made it like a futuristic space soldier sci-fi adventure. Destiny 2 is too based off some fantasy world, it’s not what the world/universe of destiny was built off of.
What do you all think? I’d like to know down below, as well as hope to get a response from bungie; regarding how they will change up the creative choice in the near future.
Thank you all for reading!

When I see gear like the gear in the link that 90% of the gear in D2 is like this, it's part of the reason I won't even bother with the raids in D2 or have any interest in wanting to collect most of the gear in this game. https://gamerant.com/destiny-2-shadowkeep-armor-weapon/
D2 was a pushed out product and they are still treating it that way 2 years later. The other day I was comparing sparrows between D1 and D2 and it's not just how poorly a lot of them are designed in D2, it's also how there is 5 maybe even 6 if not more of the exact same sparrows in each category. All Bungie did was change the name, paint job or the speed, and even though it's still the exact same design on a lot of them, and they did this with the ships as well? they called it adding loot to the game instead of actually creating new sparrows/ships. We have triple the duplicates in this game vs actual new loot. But, I'm taking this further and this alone upsets me on how lazy this company has become...
In D1 the sound effect and visual effects gave that incentive to want to acquire the sparrows and a few of them have their own unique sounds and visual effects, like the one that is from D1 that you can acquire for the Solstice armor. Even in Y1 of D1 Bungie offered a Void, Solar and Arc Drive so you could change the trail of the sparrow. In D2 for 2 years now they haven't done diddly-squat that (all the sparrows sound the same with barely anything unique about them.) Hell, I thought maybe the mini sparrow might have something unique about it. Nope! it's just a tiny sparrow with the same lazy effort put into 90% of the cosmetics in this entire game that they can be called a copy and paste. The thing about this, I didn't even go into detail about how lazy the designs are for the gear. Edit: Meanwhile, over at Twitter/Reddit... "Oh Bungie, you're doing a great job on designing the gear and all the in-game loot". Thank you loyal fan! Will keep putting in that effort you expect us too...
