The problem is the whole event itself... this is no celebration, it’s almost nightmarish at this point... same shit over and over and over. The rewards suck, you get a sparrow to grind all three sets? Lmao... kiss my ass, one and done, cannot imagine the time wasted to get all three sets.

I've got more packages than keys. You're not killing enough mini bosses.

if it is a problem, why not state it as "not enough packages" rather than "too many keys"? (again, just curious)

I made a post about this recently.. it didn't get any traction so I'm bumping yours, hope you dont mind. So there has been some good constructive criticism and feedback on the whole Solstice of Heroes event but not sure if anyone talked about the Solstice packages, not so much the content but more about how and where to obtain them. The Solstice key fragments drop from every source right now, strikes, public events, gambit, crucible, and even patrols. The only way to get the packages is from the chests found in the EAZ. Okay, do with as many sources we have for the keys, does it really make sense for even more keys to drop from the reward chests? In my opinion, absolutely not. My reason is mainly because of the simple fact that alot of players participating in this event and lots more that didn't bother have a large stockpile of keys right now and very few packages (or none at all). With the event half way done, there is not really any chance we will see a change... but have you given any thought on how we can exchange these key fragments rather than simply removing them from our inventory when the event is done?

Look forward to more of the same in Shadow keep. Haven't preorder Ed so y'all can let me know how that works out for you.

I can answer that b part of the last sentence. They don't want you to be informed ever about how anything works. They want you reading twab notes and spending hours on here and Reddit and YouTube trying to figure out what's going on.

Semi related question, I’ve done everything except the 100 EAZ bosses, I’m at like 45. Should I grind out the other 55 tonight or wait for tomorrow’s patch to drop the requirement to 50

I wonder how many of these complaints are from those that bailed on the boss round or cheesed with the cabal for the mini boss step.

I find it absurd that peoples ask for more packages and only reason why boss requirement is being reduced to 50 is because nobody cares to stay for the package collecting even tough its only way to get better rolls to this gear and enhancement cores for shadow keep and ONLY reliable source to get packages is to stay in the end of EAZ run. On same category i count the fact that one of top rated topics in the forums for long time was peoples demanding for more enhancement cores littlebit after dawning event, now that they have solstice packages to gather some up nobody even cares a bit and when shadow keep launches peoples will be finger in their mouth whining how they have zero enhancement cores to keep their gear updated after ignoring this event and what it has to actually offer for future. Exact same thing happened in the dawning event where peoples had chance to farm up cores and they did not, after event they all came to forum to ask for more when new content came out.. In the end of the day i rather have too many keys, then too little packages just to make sure keys are not the ones running out at any given time because that would cause whole new storm in players at reddit if they could not open all of their packages But one thing i agree is that armor requirements are way too high for casual players and was bit of overkill from bungie. This wont allow peoples to manage their weekly tasks in controlled manner and leave little to none excess time to farm what they actually need if they choose to go for all three sets, while EAZ definitely shouldof been included in more of the steps since it is source of packages too, this would also reduce amount of excess keys gathered while doing other steps for armor. I'm currently at 2/3 sets completed and last one half way trough but i will run ONLY EAZ until boss requirements are being lowered to take advantage of peoples leaving and me getting more packages for time spent. At the end my conclusion is that team doing solstice event was needed to help with shadow keep so it comes out in time, because this expansion is ticket that will decide future of destiny franchise in many aspects and they cannot afford to let playerbase down by publishing it late or broken, so they just threw stuff in without testing it further for the event to move on with the more important stuff.. But if Pre-expansion event that is mediocre at best and allows to gather some materials for expansion that will be much better experience on release day because of this, i would be completely fine with it if that is the case. because to be fair, they cannot afford to -blam!- this up like they did with black armory when players got left hanging outside of content outside of small % of max light peoples

Completely agree. I am sitting at around 2500. You get on average 4 boxes per run. That means I need to run EAZ about 40 times to spend all the keys. Not going to happen.

Agrees. Also the drop rate for solstice armor is laughably bad. Tons of blues or normal legendaries. Seems the drop rate for solstice is like 1 for every 10-12 packages.
