It's a cosmetic glow. They could have made it work if there was a will to do it.

Sucks I know. But they have stated that this set will become armour 2.0 when shadow Jeep is released and that the glows will still work after the event

Mods change and so do mechanics. The old glows didn’t have external effects on the armor like the new ones do.

I actually prefer the old ones. Have a cleaner look imho. And I'll keep an eye out for that Jeep :-D D2 off-road desert classic here we come!
